That is totally new news to me. So I will definitely be more vigilant on scanning things. So I don't know how anyone can say this doesn't help anybody.
You're not losing everything on your device, it will likely just lead to some phishing website that attempts to get your banking information but if you simply don't put your info in, nothing will be lost in most cases.
Isn’t that why there’s apps that just have you input a number? Like oh no the scanner altered the number… now I’m paying the same amount for parking two spaces down😂
Since our government is grossly out gunned when it comes to cyber crimes,,this won't help any one,we appreciate the time u put in ,but u know there is people still falling for that shit all the time
@@AJC1506 you really don't realize how complicated they can make shit. If they can make a passing fake check I'm sure they can make a convincing qr code easily
How come the android is dipicted as the dirty criminal's phone, is it because anyone tech smart knows the capabilities of an android compared to an iphone?
That’s actually something I’ve never thought of, and I consider myself to be rather careful.

It’d could help quite a few people I’m sure. But living in a rural area, I’ve never seen a code like that outside

That's right, scanning a qr code is simply an alternative to manually typing a link

I scan everything..... EVERYTHING!
Your device probably has all sorts of fun shit on it.
And a POS cop is telling you this and saying " trust me". And if you question a sign, then you are up for a ticket.
Solid advice 👍
I've never scanned a qr. Send me paper mail or alternate. Always ask for alternative
If your qr scanner just opens it without letting you check the link then change your qr app
Not this iPhone with my jailbreak
That’s why all of my email links or anything sent to me via any means gets ran through a vm.
Scammers are absolute scum. They genuinely suck.
Yes, and keep performing first amendment audits yall
I just hope i don't get a ticket or be towed
Aka dont scan QR codes on cop cars
What holster is that? Looks odd

Take my info if you want to ill trade you😂
How do you recommend is to make sure it's a legit code and not a scam code?
If it’s not a piece of paper taped onto the sign…
@@AJC1506 you realize there's more than just a qr on a sign situations right?
@@S_Vikin9 it’s pretty obvious to see if it’s been tampered with if you just look

Trust your gut. If for a second you think it looks weird, don't scan it. Most legitimate QR codes won't have you feeling that way.
Ey bro, STOP giving away our tactics! Ffs
😭
Are you kidding me
That’s not how QR Codes work, but keep spreading misinformation
