Applauding the in-house therapist for emphasizing the point of not just treating the symptoms but first going back to the ROOT cause of the upheaval.
The married man situation/affair & why Angeline wasn't bothered abt him being married or breaking up a fam... as a gal who grew up in a broken home( death of a mum), in pain & with unresolved issues of that trauma, she unconsciously wanted to inflict the same pain she was feeling to the man's family by taking away a parent frm them just like hers was taken away.
Hurt people hurt people.
Am so glad to see that we as Africans are finally learning & understanding the complexity of traumas & mental health.
Lynn this is going to save lives - having a resident therapist is what all shows about trauma and challenges of the mind.. should have - you did it !!
If you get used to dating married persons...when you get married you will never enjoy marriage no matter how good your partner will be.
This platform has really change my life in a way that I can't explain, just listening to other people's story and learning,can't take it for granted
I remember seeing her at sarit expo back in 2020...I remember being mesmerized by her beauty when I saw her at the expo.I even mentioned this to someone how beautiful she is this year in a random conversation. I thank God for the restoration happening in her life.

Watching this while being evicted by a man who made me turn away from my family.. Lost my job so once have been unable to pay bills that's when he shifted back to his family.. Depression killing me right now... Stay away from married men.. Never be committed to them💔

I pray you learn to love yourself more and accept that you are human. As Lynn says, we all make mistakes. You might feel like you're at your lowest but even at such times God is still present. Praying you get through this and come out strong. Have the will and let God be in control. You are still loved and even from a stranger like me, you have someone somewhere who still values you. "Rise up and walk". Do it for yourself and above all for the glory of God. All shall be well.

Definitely losing a mom hit her so bad and was not able to takecare of her emotions at the time because he was grieving the wife. When you listen to her story she doesn't sound like a 38 year old because her inner child is loud and needs attention asap. And she is a representation of most of us.

Ooh I love this Therapist from LNN as Residence. She is so good with that soften speaking beautiful voice just like Lynn Ngugi herself, making someone so calm and comfortable. Is it possible to see a client through online ,meaning on the phone if someone lives out of the Country? Like like USA or Europe?People go though alot looking for a good Therapist who can understand us and our culture, There many here but they never understand our diffrent culture ,so our relationship with our parents, children, siblings, jobs all any other issues happens with our people.👨👩👦👦🙏🏾❤

Angeline got stuck in "teen age" in her head for a long time. We all go through this mindset for some time. Some grow up, some it can be too late.
Hallo team Lnn, it's true! My x was sleeping with another woman in front of me and the man was telling me 'kwani mim ni sabuni nitakufu?' the experience💔 I'm grateful after I left him God gives me the right man but it's still torturing me to date! I remember when my dad told me to back with the man who abused me several times 😞 depression is really 💯God have mercy on us the pain is unexplainable!

Angeline, the therapist before you is very competent to help you process your childhood trauma so effectively to closure. Trust her psycho-education and further one-on-one counseling sessions. Lynn thank you for letting this beautiful girl have a chance to rediscover self. Self-awareness leads to self-care and ultimate healing through sessions.
I wish to remind all listeners here that there is no issue so big than cannot be reversed through medicines and or counseling therapy. Do not fear costs. Look at it from the bigger picture-Healthy living. Mental health is the single most important aspect of a human life far from money which many think affords one everything. Far from it. Healthy living is an intentional and purposeful journey to wellness, with 9r without that money. It begins with you. Avoid validating your life based on what people tell you but how you feel yourself from within-out.
Many a times when we see our friends smiling out there, we feel they have it all until in a program like LNN tells you otherwise.
Angeline, you are beautifully and wonderfully made. You are complete without your anyone out there including your own Dad. In Counseling, we train clients on self-care. Many can condemn or validate you but wait until you have a problem. They shall be nowhere. That's why we need to care about ourselves more than caring about others. Love your father or mother but as an adult, be there for yourself.

Marriage does not alter our feelings and emotions so it's upon a person to practice and master self control and have principals that guide one's life.
@LynnNgugi crush is a cry for help...First find out what is missing or boring in your relationship as a married lady. Take it from me,you can ignore a crush and finally forget completely. Don't fuel it. Don't go for a date. Just see your crush as having weakness and them consider the repercussion. After going for him will you marry him? Are you willing to divorce? Can you leave with the guilt of cheating?
Am single but I have learnt to ignore and analyse any crush. Mostly crushes are exaggerated view of the person.

I am 22 yrs old almost done with uni and last semester I had a crushie but I couldn't tell him 😂we were sharing a unit and it happened that were in the same group so he got my no. and texted but it was something to do with class work we interacted several times and after I discovered there was nothing big about him 😅...
