first mistake this builder did was not charring the log ends that go into the ground to help prevent rot of the logs
Also, it didn't look like they were buried deep enough.
@ depends on location…if u live in a region that gets snow,logs must be buried below the freeze line which is 4 feet

Что комфортно? Ни кухни, ни туалета, ни душа. Выбраться на денёк-другой, чтобы поиграть в отшельника - да, можно. А для постоянного (или сколь-нибудь продолжительного) проживания домик непригоден. Я уж не говорю о зиме.

I don't care how solid the ground is, I would make sure this would not sag from all that work & weight by simply pouring concrete under at least the 2-corner post...Why gamble on a sag after only 1 year?...AND ! sort of comical seeing him squaring his building lines with a framing square... ...Builder, Old Naples Florida🌴 Happy Holidays everyone 🦃🌲

Why do these guys always build tiny houses.how sad is your life when you try to convince yourself and others that this genuinely makes you happy.what level of social anxiety must one have to actually be a hermit in an 8x10 box.
Since this channel showcases unique structures, I'm thinking that this building was never intended as a primary dwelling as much as a fancy little "fort in the woods" to spend the occasional weekend at. Craftsmen obviously enjoy their labors or they wouldn't reach the level of craftsman and he gets a little extra scratch from YT as a bonus.
More importantly, YOU don't sound happy at all. Who's been shitting in YOUR box?

Nice craftsmanship, but I would sacrife 75% the porch for more cabin space. Maybe 2 rooms. Doens't make sense to have as much porch than liveable space. Specially if the back porch as no particular view (mountain uphill).

I want to say hey is great but he does do alot and some of it is caution to the wind and some building norms that will bite him in th long run bcuz certain things do need to last a bit longer than just a few years when you ignore certain details it doesn't leave a good taste in people's minds later in life or just plain out dangerous safety for others who walk into a structure that's far from sound
