Two things I love how they were introducing their new album material under the radar by playing some of the rifts and melodies way back then and number two I love how they add on to their live played songs 2 minutes here 3 minutes there on this song adding melodies adding drumming solos and the like

It's amazing to go back and listen to this and figure out what pieces made it to Fear Inoculum and what other pieces have potential to be future songs.

Ya I love Tool. They have exactly what the name says for me. Even much of my music writing is inspired by them. They have been a huge part of my cognitive development in the rational understanding of what I was witnessing and experiences, from the 90's when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I've journeyed many times in the dark hell of our gifted planet. I've recognized my relationship with 3, from 6. No where near the impact Led Zeppelin or any other musical band has made in my life but Jimmy Page did create a masterful Composition. Gotta say Led Zeppelin version has Jimmy Page pouring his heart into his creation. Listen to it again. Loud. U will feel his emotions.

That second jam in alternating 6/8 and 5/8 is glorious. It's what happens when Chancellor is allowed to unleash his riffs. I hope it makes the album. Jones and Carey synch in perfectly and at exactly the right times. I could listen to that slow build on repeat 24/7 and never get tired of it.
I starded learning guitar because of adam and haved played for years now and i cant for the life of me play regular times, drives the band mates crazy cause they cant keep up always ends up sounding like tool.
When that first riff actually kicks in around 0:55, it's an experience to say the absolute very least!! Adam Jones is way too good of guitarists! It's one of the all-time greats for sure!
Descending seems to be an actual song/instrumental. They've been playing it since 2014 or 2015 I believe. If you check the setlist for their past shows they tend to play it and it's on the setlist as Descending.
Actually, it is not Tool at all, it is from the Polish artist Gru, taken from the end of the song Zeta Reticuli, off the album Cosmogenesis. Damn it I love tool but shit I forget that nearly half their albums are quiet long build up songs to a main song that come between the few 20mins of amazing things that we do get but they can stand the test of time! And then it always feels worth it but I got a damn good feeling this Might actually top lataralus! It's so far got lot more of that vibe to it so much of what I heard and THAT is a very very good thing as lataralus is my fav rock album of all time so far. And if you haven't heard it already. There is also an extended version of opiate floating around,from their most recent tours. It's captivatingly beautiful and the band already stated that they will record this new version of the song. It's a beautiful contrast of old tool vs new melting together to form something great.
