Thank you , I use a Delicates Liquid Wash soap for silk and wool items. Like the idea of laying them on a towel, I can see the logic it will help them keep their shape. Thank you once again.

I had been getting swelling in my left knee when wearing my standard compression below knee sock. This was becoming very troublesome. I have been wearing these socks since 2008 when I had my second DVT. I made an appointment with the practice nurse, who remeasured my leg to make sure the size still fitted properly. This should be done at least yearly if not more often. This was correct but the fluid was pushing into my knee now and making it difficult to walk. The nurse had an idea and ordered me a pair of ActiLymph below knee class 1 18-21mmhg, very similar grade as my original Class 2 18-24mmhg socks. I am please to say these new socks have done the trick (Though are more expensive). I joke with the nurse about having to wear odd socks. The ActiLymph socks are for the management of Lymphoedema. They are a blessing and if anyone is having trouble with swelling following the wearing of compression socks it might be worth making an appointment with your practice nurse to review and see if the socks are suitable for you. I am now able to walk further and get out and about a lot better than before.

I use azengear compression socks and wash them in the washing machine. And this doesn’t affect their quality 🙂

It does rapidly reduce their lifespan though.
