Poppi went to see Vet 3 times the past week. His condition was really bad the first 3 days. We have to feed him manually with critical care every hour. We are really happy seeing him recovered now. Poppi turned ill so seriously all of the sudden, that was intense for us.

My heart skipped a beat when I read that Poppi wasn't doing well. So happy that he is feeling better. I worry so much when my girls seem off. My hubby says that I worry to much but guinea pigs are so fragile that you have to be mindful and on top of things. They can go down hill so fast. I know to well. I lost one of my girls 5 years ago from bloat. She ate to much banana. She was just 11 months old. Boy, I learned a lot since then (new piggy mom). My hubby did admit to me that he worries to but he tries to be strong for me because I have anxiety issues and it's hard for me to not worry. My pet guinea pig Ronnie died prematurely when he was only 4 years and 5 months old. He contracted pneumonia when the temperature dropped suddenly during the autumn. When this occurred he wasn't eating some of his most favourite vegetables, and his breathing became laboured. If I had have taken him to the vet sooner when he first became sick rather than monitoring the situation to see if it would improve then he may have recovered from this illness, just as our friend Poppi has recovered from his illness. Sometimes you don't learn these things until it's too late.
The first half of the video is sad, but the second half is already funny. Especially as he pushes the door with his head. It reminded me of your white piggy that we recently unearthed the same pig in the woods. It was accidentally found by people who went there. They notified the Hungarian Guinea Pig Protection and Rescue Association. They are looking for a new owner after the mandatory quarantine.
Total he received 5 different types of medicines and an injection. Kept feeding him manually every hour for 3 days. It was really tough for the little boy, especially the 3rd round seeing the Vet. Glad it’s over. 💕💕💕

My guinea pig passed away just a couple of days ago. I am absolutely devastated. He was such a crazy boy and he always got over his sickness. I love him so much. He was almost 6 :(
I lost my precious piggie of six years Ginger on January 29th 2022, she had been sick for nearly two weeks and despite all the critical care I gave her she kept losing weight, developed a nasty cough and soon after passed. I’m very happy to see Poppi overcoming his illness-your piggie always make me smile.

Glad to hear poppi is okay! Last month my kitten got really ill too, there was a time she didn't eat or go to the bathroom for a whole day and we had to feed her with a syringe. Yes, piggies are very sensitive and weak to weather change. They need very good ventilation, avoid putting them into air conditioned room a long time. 😊
