D rose, with alot of his teammates dealing with injuries and missing time, managed to get 25ppg, be the floor general and primary playmaker to propel the bulls to the first 60 win season since MJ played. If you wanna talk about skill for determining "worst", then since that season was rose's peak, by skill alone he can eclipse a lot of players with good arguement as I don't know a lot of mvp players who'd have done similar in his situation. If we're talking about their numbers (and simply just THEIR numbers/stats. Not the whole team record) of that particular season. Here.
Worst Rookie of the Year: 2001 Mike Miller
    Worst MVP: 2005 Steve Nash
Worst Finals MVP: 1978 Wes Unseld
Worst Sixth Man of the Year: 1983 Bobby Jones
Worst Most Improved player: 1997 Isaac Austin
Worst Defensive Player of the Year: 1987 Michael Cooper
Edit: I am talking about here they're NUMBERS/STATS ONLY. Not about the impact they did when they got there or if they became champion on that season. Just simply STATS. I am also only considering players after the NBA/ABA merger. (And one of my favorite players is Steve Nash but I really thought Dirk or Duncan was supposed to have the MVP in 2005, if you look at their stats only)

The reason why Chandler won defensive player of the year was because he took a bottom tier Knicks defense into a an elite top 10 defense overnight, teams were scoring almost 10 points less whenever he was on the floor. His defensive style wasn't to lock down his man or secure the paint which leads to a nice stat total but be aware of where everyone is on the court and fill in any potential gaps, the Knicks were very aggressive on defense simply because they knew that if they made a mistake Chandler would be there to cover for them. Chandler is the definition of doing all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet

Kawhis defense definitely factors into his FMVP in 2014 but he was also almost tied for top scoring on his team, and shot 60% from the field and 50% from 3. Iggy averaged 16 per game, 10 points less than Curry, and sure his defense was good, but not THAT good, Because Lebron still was doing what he always does, dropping 30 and nearly having a triple double, maybe he wasn’t as efficient from the field but he also didn’t have his two best players for that whole finals almost and they were his teams other main scoring options, lebron had nearly 200 FGA that series, because he had to shoot more, aside from maybe JR smith that cavs team had no good scoring options. You can look back at many teams with only one scorer and usually that player has a lower fg% because they take significantly more shots

Derrick Rose was 22 in his 3rd year, he was the ONLY all star on his team and led the Bulls to the best record in the ENTIRE NBA. BTW, the Bulls went 41-41 in Derricks first 2 seasons. Now back to 2010-2011, If y’all don’t remember. Lebron finished 3rd in MVP voting behind Dwight Howard. So if Rose didn’t deserve it, Howard did. Back to Rose v James. Lebron did have the better stats, 27 7 7 50% vs 25 7 4 44%, but Lebron also had 2 top 10 players on his team; 25ppg D Wade & Bosh avg 18ppg. Meanwhile 17ppg Boozer missed the first 20games and Noah who only avg 11pts and 10reb missed 40 games. 17ppg Luol Deng didn’t make the allstar team and the Bulls starting SG was 4ppg Keith Bogans. I’m going to say again, He was the only all star on his team at 22 and had the best record not just the Eastern Conference but the best in the ENTIRE NBA, at 22!!!!his 3rd year!!
    A NBA filled with:
    Spurs- 3 all stars
    Heat- 3 all stars
    OKC- 2 all stars
    Celtics- 4 all stars
    Lakers-2 all stars
Imagine if 4th year Brandon Ingram won MVP being the only all star while Zion/Lonzo missed 20-40 games and led them to the best record in the whole NBA.
    an NBA filled with:
    Lakers-2 all stars
    Clippers- 2 all stars
    Bucks- 2 all stars
    76ers- 2 all stars
    Utah- 2 all stars
Lastly, how does Lebron deserves the 2011 MVP when he said himself it belongs to Rose.
