Another one of my favorite albums and yet another band that coulda, shoulda, woulda if they only stuck around longer than they did.
Would have been nice if they did, but most of the reason is Eric Friedman is busy playing in Tremonti now
@@I_love_liberal_tears He left way before Tremonti started though. He left before Submersed even finished their 2nd album. I guess he thought Daughters of Mara was going to take off more than it did. I think that's the main reason he left Submersed. And he left Daughters of Mara to tour with Creed when they came back. He just followed the opportunities as they presented themselves. I can't blame him. All the bands he's been a part of have been phenomenal.

Man I thought people forgot about this band. One of the most underrated bands ever in my opinion. Have some killer songs
Sometimes I just sit listening to my bands (Sevendust, Tremonti, Projected, Fear Factory etc.) and I ponder just how it is human beings can write melodies that affect the soul to the absolute core. It's one of humanity's highest achievements I must say. I digress...This song is marvellous and you rock it my brother!

Awesome cover! Love Submersed. There were a lotta good bands on Wind-Up Records back in the day. Did you ever listen to Breaking Point or Strata? Two other very underrated bands who were lablemates of Submersed. Strata is actually back and recording a new album. Their self titled album from 2004 is still one of my favorite albums to this day. I don't really see many guitar covers of it. So maybe?... Rock on man!
Strata is awesome, especially their self-titled. Good to hear they're still around. I've heard of Breaking Point as well but I never really got into them back in the day from what I remember. I'll have to go back sometime and check them out.

Man you killed it. This song comes up fairly regularly on my YT "My Mix" curated playlist thats usually centered around early 00s rock and I always turn it up. Had to look and see if anyone had done a cover recently and you NAILED it.

SubmerseD played a one-off reunion show in Stephenville, TX last fall, dubbed Lukerpalooza in honor of Kelan’s brother Seth who passed away.
I was there and even though it was only acoustic, it was fantastic to see them. Everybody was singing. The atmosphere was just amazing!

MysticGuitar77 lol. It sounds like the song is tuned to drop d, so the main open riff. Listening to the song, it sounds like you shortened the amount of repetition of the rhythm. Idk how else to say it, lol.
@@Rony-L The verse part? I played the palm-mutes staccato style instead of having them ring out. It sounds tighter and closer to the song IMO. It doesn't make a huge difference and I've seen people play it both ways.
