Wow....Now I got to go to Walmart. I also hit the car aisle when I go. Have not been in about 3 weeks. Their website and product line confuses the heck out of me also. I know it seems silly but smell is a big thing to me also. Big kudos for the wife always being behind the camera and helping out. She does a great job
It's not silly because a products smell makes it more enjoyable to work with. Especially on the interior you want something that will smell nice the next time you get in it. Also that was my son doing the videoing this time, he loves helping out. I will let him know that you said he did a great job.
I used this product on a really dirty car (unlike the one in this video) I was shocked at how well it worked on my black interior! I wish I had done a before and after pic. It worked so good on my my light gray interior roof visors etc. I can’t imagine why it would get a bad review. I’m amazed! Ps.. tried so many products before trying this I randomly found at Walmart. Definitely going to check out their other products!
The problem with doing reviews like this is I keep my cars clean. A car like you are talking about would be great for videos. I did say that it cleaned well. I also didn't give it a bad review, I stated I just couldn't stand the smell. Either way i am glad it worked for you! There are products that I love that people give bad reviews on. Detailing products are like food. Sometimes people like the same food and sometimes one person likes something the other doesn't like. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Hi I´m new to your channel, they´ve made a no scent cleaner so might be good to give them a chance. Also as it´s just the cleaner, I guess the protectant would do a good job neutralizing the chemical smell. For me, cleaners with a strong chemical smell tells me its a good cleaner as it will strip any kind of dirt or mold if any. The protectant is the important one to have a nice smell
Colin Gouveia This is why I like making these review videos. There are things I like that other people don’t. Then like this I don’t like a product and other people do. Everyone has their own taste in products. Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching
It does have an astringent smell. It also doesn’t seem to protect so much as clean. It will strip at least part of any leather or vinyl cream coatings off surfaces, leaving it looking dry. Cleaning effectiveness is good however.
I used this on my dash and it looks amazing, I love how chemical guys has unique smells, the tire and rim cleaner smells like bubblegum and this interior cleaner smells like a new car
I've used this product on many vehicles and while it is a great cleaner - it doesn't offer much in the way of protectant. The bottle also states it can be used on glass, which maybe it can, but it destroyed the tint on my Expedition. I'm in the process of making a video on it.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Yea I didn't care for the smell either. It was a bit on the irritating side. Inner Clean has a much more pleasant aroma, very similar to Meg's Natural Shine.
I just got done using it and I didnt have a problem with the smell, I work at a dealership and have smelled some really cheesy perfumy stuff and I didn have that,

My favorite uv protector by chemical guys is the regular inner clean (yellow one) smells like a new car. When I use it ppl always say my car still smells like a new car.
It's pineapple 🍍! It's an ok product but doesn't leave an OEM-finish. Makes the plastic look darker. Twice a year I use the CG leather cleaner spray with a brush on the entire interior: leather plastic. Works superior! Matte and clean finish. Foams up nice, easy to remove with a dry cloth. It's Beemer F15 F31 interior btw. As an interior qd I recommend the Megs interior quick detailer! Flashes quick and no streaking, leaves the surface near perfect. Also give the P&S and Nanolex a try. Chemical guys should state on the bottle whether it is tint safe or not. I bought a Chemical guys car cleaning kit that included 1.the total interior cleaner And protectant. 2. Diablo wheel cleaner 3. Citrus wash and gloss 4. A hat that has a weird shape on the top of the head 5. Chenille wat mitt - a microfiber wash mitt I now have a window cleaner that We can not use on our windows. Because there is a picture on the box/kit of a car that has tinted windows, with the words Car Care, clean and shine starter kit. I am going to call the company and ask them if the product is tint safe or not.
Speaking of the scent or smell of car care products in general, I think the manufacturers add the (usually) pleasant scents so the consumer unconsciously uses more product in a given time, which means they will buy the product more often. Which means more 💰 for the company. Anybody notice how quick detailing sprays, car wash soaps and tire shine sprays smell like (for example) Wild Cherry, Grape candy, or Bubble Gum? I don’t think that’s just coincidence- it’s a subtle but shrewd marketing strategy at play. Sorry for rambling.
Well I just bought the interior cleaner w/black cherry scent but it stained my floor mats. It left them looking like crap w/a white haze all over them. Not happy with this product. I even posted my comment on their social media page & it was deleted, & I didn't even cuss once which was surprising in itself lol.
