A true ambassador of the game. He’s an expert, a fan and a great colorful person. I didn’t like him with the Lakers but I admire him now in so many ways.
The documentary on He and Bird was excellent.
I love the way he tells stories, about Dr. J’s great play against the Lakers, Ice man’s finger roll, Bird and MJ’s plays.
Here’s a guy that played against these players and doesn’t have bad feelings about them 30-40 later.

Michael Jordan once said without any hesitation that Magic Johnson would be his starting PG if he had to assemble an all-time team honoring #32's unique greatness in another aspect. Magic truly was the GOAT 🐐 PG especially in his prime! Fortunately for the 1991 Chicago Bulls they faced a slightly aged, injured and more diluted version of a Lakers team in the NBA Finals to capture their first ever NBA championship as the torch was passed accordingly. I was truly blessed to watch my favorite legendary players Jordan, Magic, Bird and Kobe perform live in their primes many years ago.

Markail Galapon offensively they played like the ‘15 Gst warriors. The first team to win without a dominant big man. Also one of the first teams to have their big man shooting from the perimeter. They were a gamechanger and trailblazed a lot of the defensive tactics we see today outside of the horseplay.

That's not true! The Pistons were one of the highest scoring teams in the 80's that happened to be a tough defensive team. Look at the stats. They had two half of fame guards, a stretch 5, wings that could run the court, and really two scoring 6 men. They basically had two starting 5's. They also had a hall of fame coach who developed there game plan. The Pistons are one of the most underrated NBA champs in the history of the game. They could easily fit into todays NBA.

For those who missed Michael. You missed it. Period. He was my sports hero since the age of 7 in 1985. I had the first Air Jordans and watched every game on WGN and of course wore 23 until my last game as a senior in HS.

Magic is the Dwayne Johnson of NBA/Deon Sanders of the NFL and so on. Magic has that positive coach like personality. We can be down by 40 points and Magic would be still smiling and saying positive stuff.

Magic said it best, you have to learn to win a championship to win one, this is where i feel so sorry for Lebron, he was robbed fro the greatness of taking his team to the mountain top, and not someone else teams like Dwayne Wade's Heat or Kobe's Lakers, both of these teams won without him but the other way around. I pray that he find success in this current days of Fame without hollow achievements.

People fail to realize MJ ended two teams.
He ended the Pistons from dominating at least another 3 years.
He stopped the Lakers from winning any titles in the 90's. When the Bulls broke up in 1999-2000 season really gave Phil an opportunity to prove that he wasn't done as a coach.
It took his forced retirement and aging for those two franchises to win championships.

Who do you know with 10 scoring titles that also went undefeated and got six finals MVPS???? And was the main reason they won all six championships??? If you find another with these accomplishments then we can talk about them being greater than the one we call the greatest of all times Michael Jordan. Until then they are no comparisons to be made to him.

This interview puts Magic in a tough spot...he’s close friends with Isiah and he’s close friends with Jordan...but he understands the dynamics of the competitive nature of both men especially with their competing at a high level

If you ever noticed most of your all time players who were 6’0-6’1 were all dirty..,Isiah, John Stockton was notoriously dirty player, Chris Paul is dirty, ...only reason it resonates coming from Isiah and the Pistons is that there are 2 championships at the expense of the beloved stars in NBA history

Well said Magic, well said... your opponents either brings out the BEST or the Worst in you. MJ chose to be better every step of the way, and the Bad Boys made him that. Without Isaiah and the Gang, there would be no GOAT MJ. He would just be another great player passing by an era of basketball. 👍
So enough of the debate, Bird and Magic agreed that MJ is the GOAT, anyone saying that he's not, should prove it against Magic and Larry first and foremost. And after that, you go prove your point with Shaq, Charles, Iverson, etc... etc... 🤣

They won’t be doing a 10 part series on LeBron James 30 years from now. Maybe a 1 and it will be aired and on to the next one. What’s his legacy? He has played with 4 separate teams in his prime. And left his hometown twice. And they blasphemy Michael’s name mentioning him in the same breath. It’s criminal.
