@@hrts4adina I take melatonin for my insomnia (2-6mg can't remember correctly), takes 60 minutes for it to work (you have to take it an hour before you go to bed, so if you want to enter your bed at 11:30pm take it 10:30) You might've just not known how they work fully, could be wrong tho.

She stayed awake throughout the night before the exam waiting for the leaks of tasks from the easternmost part of our country (it's about a 7-hour difference in time zones, so 10 am there was like 2-3 a.m. in our town), since it was a state exam (but there was actually no proof we'd have the same tasks, just similar ones), I went to sleep. That's also because your memory doesn't replace new information acquired. After reading and memorizing, if you play games or talk or do anything aside from taking a nap after that, there's a chance you'll remember few or forgot few. While sleeping after studying will preserved and enhanced the information you've acquired before sleeping, and it doesn't replace any other information because you slept!
