This is all good and I always use the EZ-level system but I’m installing an island with a dishwasher. So there’s a 9inch skinny cabinet on one end then an empty slot then the sink cabinet. What do with that empty slot? How do I bridge the two end cabinets together?. Do I need a pony wall? Thanks
I'm way late to this party. We are about to install our 10.5 ft x 3 ft island cabinets. A dishwasher is included in that, which causes the front side of the cabinets to not be connected. Would it be ok if we connect the back cabinets (all 12-in deep) together, then connect the fronts to the backs? This will still leave the gap space that the dishwasher fits in, but I think this is the best we can do.
Yes... absolutely. You will just want to put a couple of 2x4's in the D/W space to "connect" the two neighboring cabinets before you roll them right-side-up. Does that make sense? If you need to chat about this a bit, we are always available to help at EZ-level. Just call us at 800-726-5550. You can ask for me Brooks Courtney. I've installed zillions of islands since the early 80's lol...
Hi. I just wanna let you know that you did an awesome job on your island table. Its really nice and I like it. My wife and i been wanting to make one but don't really know where to get the cabinets. Only place i know is homedepot and lowes. Any advice of specific place to get the cabinets? But the butcher block i will get it at home decor. Pls need your help. Thanks
You've answered 70% of my conundrum. Thank you for the return blessings. I'm spending my afternoon perusing your videos with note pad in hand. Us working stiffs appreciate your simplistic explanations without confusing terminology! Have a great weekend!
@@EZ-Level I'm going over right now. I really appreciate this help and these videos. I'm embarking on a kitchen remodel for a 1940's farm house and this is very helpful and giving me more insight and information than I could imagine from starting points and check off lists. If nobody has told you lately friend your knowledge and kindness for sharing what you've learned is very appreciated. I'll be utilizing a shopping cart and purchasing some products to help me on my remodeling journey.
The upside down method only works if you have a reasonably level floor regardless of using a board to set them on. Distortion can be an issue on the diagonal as well as this usual runs.
This is going to help me out BIG time in the next few weeks when I build my island . thank you for this video
Best anchoring video I’ve seen, thank you so much!

That's why we put a piece of drywall down. It's good enough to get things nice and flush. (I "thought" that was in the video???? Maybe not???)
This is a great video!! So helpful

what's the method for attaching the cabinets of a double-sided island all together? where are the screw points? any adhesive?
Did you end up making a design decision here? I'm about to do the same, but may install a spacer between the 2 sets of runs
