Loved the character of Cricket. She could have been a new start for Will. ❤❤
I think killing off cricket was unnecessary and a big mistake. That storyline had soooooo much potential and another layer to unpack for Will...uncharted territory. I LOVE this show and the actors, but that plot point was forced. This interview makes me think something else was happening behind the scenes tho. Idk

Will Trent is excellent it’s about time that a Latino get some recognition on TV. Everybody else gets a lot of recognition. A lot of interviews on shows I don’t see him on any TV shows getting recognition for being a wonderful Latino actor. Who’s got it going on I have all my friends watching his series. It is fantastic, and should be never taken off the air, I am proud to say he is one hell of an actor and a Puerto Rican who has made his family and his people proud to see him on TV. He was great in the wire. Well he’s great and everything I think he’s fantastic and I would love one day to meet him in person, Raymond Rodriguez is the bomb ❤️👍
As a black man, I agree with you, Jacqueline. I noticed Latino shows that have gotten canceled after one season! Will Trent is great!
Will and Cricket were hot together.
The idea of killing off such a good character just to drag out Will's trauma is already exhausting to me. I haven't watched the 2nd episode because I am not sure I want to invest more time into this series if all I am going to see is this character falling into the same old habits and not dealing and not moving forward. Like his relationship with Angie, I was so over it midway last season. I don't want to see anymore of that toxic romance which was why I was glad for Cricket's character
Ohhh Do not give up on this wonderful series, wait until you see what's ahead.
It's a great show cause the main characters are likable, original relatable. It's funky, cute ,funny and sad, and Trent always finds a way to get the bad guys. Trent's dog Betty is very sweet and he shows constantly how much Betty means to him.
I really love this show so much, best new show.
Susan was so good in this! They squandered an opportunity for Will. Dang, they killed off THEE BETH PEARSON😢

I just got through reading the recap of WILL TRENT’s second season’s first episode, and found out that Will Trent’s potential love interest, bomb disposal expert Cricket Dawson, gets blown up. That romance was over before it began. I’m guessing that the show runners were showing contempt for the audience out there in television land. Thanks a lot for nothing. Looks like the second season is getting off to a lousy start. I don’t believe this shit.
I hated that they killed off Cricket. The chemistry between the two was fire and I wanted to see how far they could go. Love the show hated the killing off of Cricket. They need to find a way to bring her back.
It would have been more traumatic if he actually had"sexual relations" with her before she got blown up. You shouldn't advertise a character to be "objectively hot" and not show him in a sexual situation.
I love this show, the characters and the actors but I do have one bone to pick. Neither Will nor Angie sound like they grew up in the GA foster care system. They both should sound more “Bubba”, even if it’s an educated Bubba. It’s been established that Will does NOT speak Spanish despite the character’s heritage so he shouldn’t sound like he does. Now I’ve finally got that off my chest.
On the other hand here’s where I’m willing to cut some slack - for the lead in a series that you hope will run for several years it could be hard to sustain an accent without multiple takes or dubbing (both of which cost time and money). Also I’d rather hear his accent as it is than suffer through a bad version of a GA accent.
