"Early 2000s" is like in an RPG maker horror where something emotional between 2 characters is going down. Maybe one is sacrificing themselves for the other. "Time feels weird on Crystal Lake" is the creepy backstory of the villain. Something innocent becoming dark and twisted.
My fav's Night Shift, it's got what it needs to come off as potentially unsettling, but it also comes across as just downtime or otherwise normal moments on an empty night shift, the background audio being the wind or otherwise normative white noise

This album is incredible, it feels wholly unique in it's execution of a dreamcore/weirdcore style. NOTHIGN else really sounds and feels this way
