Loving the videos, having done the NC500 twice, your videos show it in all its glory, love the fact your not trying to sell anything, just really appreciating your travels, keep it up
Excellent vlogs. I'm really enjoying this trip as it's bringing back lots of memories. I did it many years ago with my late husband. Thanks for great footage.
Fan tastic vlog today manbut outdid himself on the drone shots, and that cave !!! Wow,,I didn't even know it existed, looking forward to the next one ❤❤❤
Enjoyed your latest vlog particularly as we are about three weeks behind yourselves. We had hoped to stay at Sango Sands oasis but not being able to book any earlier that three weeks before scuppered us because when we rang to book it was sorry we're full. So guess what we booked the same cl site as you did, got one of the last two pitches, really lucky.
Ahh so pleased you enjoyed watching and that you booked onto a site. The Sanyo one our friends stayed at and it was very windy haha mind you they just turned up so you may have gotten lucky! Enjoy your travels xx
@@TheRollingRucks Thanks we aim to. We are too old to just rock up & prefer to book ahead. It was great to see the cl site, it looks really pretty good.
See Stu nearly done a Highland fling in the mud! 😃, it’s absolutely stunning up in the Highlands, I’m Scottish and haven’t even seen most of it, have a great time Guys, Wales looks great for a visit in the motorhome one day for us.
Haha he really did supportive laughing but he kept himself upright amazingly! How boring haha 😂 hope you get to see wales soon get in touch for some good places to visit xx
I’m sorry but I did chuckle when you slipped! Imagine what it would be like living in that house on the little island. The CL looked nice and cracking drone shots! Good tip to book ahead too Rachel & David
The scenery in the North of Scotland is fantastic. Down in Galloway where I grew up, there is also lovely scenery with the hills, lochs and forests. I recommend that you have a tour around there if you get the chance. The Smoo Caves looked very interesting. I hope you continue to enjoy your tour around the North Coast 500. Looking forward to seeing you on he next video.
I know that a large motorhome offers more space to actually live in but doing the NC500 is a place that suits a VW sized caper van. You can get down every road easilly and park anywhere you need to. Also carrying walking boots in the van all the time and using them is a very good idea.
Hi Rucks.. Great video thank you. Well done getting through that wind to show us the stacks. It looked freezing 🥶 The caves looked amazing. Safe travels. Can’t wait to see your Skye video Much love 💜💜❌❌❌
Another brilliant vlog, love following you guys on your travels. Cant wait to do the NC500 one day in our van, that scenery is something else. Roll on the next vid 👍
Hey guys looks amazing. When we did the nc500 4 year ago we camped at the zip line, woke up in the morning to a warship on the horizon firing live rounds! The zip line was amazing. The best beach we visited was Sandwood bay s bit of a walk but absolutely stunning! Enjoy guys hope the weathers kind to you.
If you ring the telephone number on the zip line board, they will come out to you and you can do it, weather permitting. Love your video's, last year we did the NC500. Just came across your video's. Safe travels 😊
WOW the NC500 looks fab. Three years ago we were brand new to van-life and too nervous to try the 500. We did enjoy our Scottish Highland tour though and Skye is beautiful. We crossed over on the ferry from Mallaig and came back over the bridge heading for Loch Ness and Fort Augustus. The campsite by the loch on Skye was great and being July, there was still daylight at 10.30pm. We love Scotland, but thanks also for your recommendations on our forthcoming tour to South West Wales in four weeks time. Really looking forward to that trip. Have a great time, Dave and Soph xxx
There was snow on the Bealach na Ba at Applecross on 12th April. The weather has been quite unpredictable lately, you did well avoiding the worst of it. Your footage from the little CL was breathtaking. Please drive and adventure safely you krazy kids……
At ullapool at mo watching the sun go down from the campsite stunning your trip will just get better omg the views from ullapool onwards snow on the mountains 😊
Another nice video, the West Coast, is the best coast for scenery, a trip to the Whisky Island of Islay, on the MV Finlaggan, from Kennacraig is a must, ( I am biased as I work this route) the scenery around here is stunning and well worth the trip. Keep up the great video and happy travels to you all.
That was such a great video. Where do I start... Those caves looked amazing. I haven't been to Scotland but the landscape looks so similar to the Atlantic coast of Ireland. Jimmy Connolly used to say that the Irish who decided to go and live in Scotland would say "come on lads, lets go to somewhere that is even colder and wetter than here !". I loved your comment when taking the photo of the children on the bridge, so true, they are only young for a very short time. I think you guys are creating amazing memories for the kids. Its the best education that they can get, travelling and experiencing the world. Your new motorhome looks really nice, how are you finding it ? Anything you would change ? What length is it ? I'm still struggling with the big versus small size dilemma. A lot of people tell me to not go over 6m but I love the room that you have in the 7m vans. My current thinking is to go for a 7.2m (max 7.5m) van. What do you guys think ?
Another great video and couldn't stop laughing when stu slipped 😂 can't believe you had flip flops on bet your feet were frozen but that would be me great advice about the roads and the caves look stunning can't wait for next one x
Absolutely loving your journey with all so far so nice to see yous enjoying your new van in Scotland. My fiance done the NC500 on his motorbike I'm desperate to do it in a motorhome- hopefully in the summer. Thanks for all the tips and showing Scotland off beautifully 😍 ❤ from a proud Scottish lass 🏴💚🙏
This is such a lush comment! Thank you 😊 glad to hear, we love motorcycles but with the kids gave them up for the motorhome life hope you get to do it yourself soonxx
@The Ruck Family awww thanks so much 🙏 💚🏴⛰️🌄 Thats so cool 🏍 Always Great watching and yous are obviously hilarious too - thanks for taking us on another fantastic trip. Xx
I’m sure someone has already said but you went through a control burning of the heather. It’s fine every year. You’ve seen a lot in your few days. Just need some snow now lol. West is always best. 😂
Great video guys, love the NC500 and certainly one we want to do again. So much to see and do and the views are breathtaking aren’t they? What’s the name of the CL site you stayed at, we’d love to stay there when we go up to the highlands again! 😁 Loving following your trip, bet it’s easier in the Motorhome 😊xx
Hi enjoying the videos. Followed you through Spain we are going in September. Next year we will do the NC 500 after watching these videos. But do wonder how you fund your trips especially as there are 5 of you.
Laughing out loud…. Can’t believe you walked through that mud in flip flops and next to no clothes 😂 id have been cocooned in scarves hats etc love Scotland though. Enjoy
Hi 👋 it’s currently full of snow and we are on the limit size wise whether it’s safe to pass so we will wait it out for a few more days in the hope we can do it x
Aha, cave people now eh? You spoilt yourselves going to Spain. Stu, did you change the wheels on this van too? They look nice. Have you got a diesel heater in the van ? Felt sorry for you getting cold with muddy feet Dave lol
I couldn't make out but where the boys wearing their seat belts xx enjoy your videos but I feel when your kids run in front of you as my grandchildren would say nanny stop fussing x
We watch your videos all the time and love you guys. However, you said you'd stopped in 2 passing places to take photos/enjoy the views. Please STOP doing this - it's illegal and infuriates responsible drivers. Also if you drive in convoy you're supposed to be one passing place apart so you don't cause a traffic jam as drivers can still pass safely.
Hello, sorry but the stops were actual lay-bys not passing places and when we were in the single track roads we had been on our own too but thank you for allowing us to Clarify that x
We've been stuck so many times when a vehicle coming the other way had met us at a passing place and the driver parked had obviously been taking photos and jumped back in their car looking sheepish or worse they're away a walk and not even aware of the issues they're causing. So many people don't know so it's good to have this chance to hopefully have some of your subscribers educated. Thank you for the opportunity. Enjoy your travels and keep the videos coming - we love your enthusiasm x
Meg Meg - that's a bit harsh. If you have issues of campervans and tourists then you should actively target your council and the Scottish government to improve facilities, roads etc etc
@@junehall2177 yes we have seen several wild spots where you pay the owner a few quid and are permitted to stay there especially on the north road XxTR
Love your videos! Me and my late husband stayed a number of times on that CL site. It was a nice walk down to the Loch side. Is it still the old guy that owns it or I wonder if he’s sold it on.Keep up the good work!

Lovely to hear you are enjoying them x
Just love you pair! Laughing in all that wind and rain and mud 🤣🤣🤣!!!
What a brilliant vlog, well done guys❤ x
Thank you so much 😁 xx
They burn the old heather off for the grouse. Dangerous when it blows across the road like that mind. Lovely looking views 👍
Ahhh makes sense thank you for letting us know xx
