This is a story of two introverts who fell in love with each other but is too awkward and shy to express it in words so a self-centered,insensitive extrovert ruined it for them. I get why many people hated this movie(because of cheating part) but I love it cuz I can relate(being an introvert). 😂😂😂
I'm an introvert too but never in my life was I expecting an extrovert to change for my sake or read my mind or whatever. I actually often envy them when I see them dealing with stuff with ease. If you cannot express your feelings toward someone who obviously liked you for years unless someone gets to him quicker, that's not the 3rd party's fault. And what's wrong with this guy anyway? He's evrn worse than Rachel. What was he doing, leading on her best friend for years??? And yes, the cheating and the jumping into bed after 2 minutes ruined it and this movie was crap.
I loved this movie and the ending, period. I don't care what people say. Darcy bullied her way in-between them and anyone who didn't get that was blind.
Darcy and Dex were not married, as Ethan rightly pointed out to Rachel. This film has a timeless story of those in love and too shy to say. Dex marrying Darcy would have been an utter disaster because he did not love her and she was pregnant with Marcus' twins. Dex's father was a monster, trying to protect the family's reputation at the expense of his son's happiness.
The hair, the necklace, the keychain...everything about her is what i aspire to look. Came back here just to feel good & have the strength to have hope for better days.
I would not mind to be in this kind of situation sometime in my life. Dex is a good guy and he made the right choice before it was too late. They both found who they were meant to be and also who they were meant to be with. Dex and Rachel are so romantic and cute together.
But I think I love this movie so much because I feel like I'm Rachel when it comes to life like being second choice and the sidekick and that makes me sad but in the end it's all so great and perfect and that just makes me so happy idk
unfortunately this never happens irl. I find that guys prefer the standard hot girl over the nice girl who is second best/ sidekick no matter how confident the sidekick is. I have seen guys ask the hot girl in class over me and when the hot girl does something terrible like cheat or lie and she dumps him he comes crying to me. Even if I am a shoulder to cry on they still go back to that awful hot girl. Guys usually don't go for the second choice even if the hot girl was forever unavailable. I noticed guys respond to mean, cold girls.
If you love this movie then you will love the book, it's so much better. Not to say that the movie isn't good because the movie is great. Also I know a lot of people were hoping they would make a sequel, but I was glad that they didn't because I didn't like the second book as much as the first one. I think I set myself up to love the second book because I thought it would be a continuation of Rachel and Dex's love story, but it was actually about Darcy finding her happily ever after and so I didn't like it as much. Not to say that I didn't want Darcy to get a happy ending as well as Rachel. I just really relate to Rachel.
Smart, sexy, funny. and terrific I could definitely watch this over and over again... Can't sleep so I'm watching it right now.. Getting tease of being such a softy for crying....

That’s an excuse or what make you feel better at night for dealing with him. Her actions doesn’t predict mine. Regardless of what she does that’s not going to make me do something I feel is immoral. Like a baby who react with fever for a simple cold. Rachel is trained being unhappy and make darcy happy and darcy is maybe because of rachel not practiced to have a fight.
There is a song called Kiss Me, but it's not in this movie (at least these scenes). It is in the movie She's All That though, which is another sweet, great movie.

I love romance more than my next breath but not when it is in essence, wrong. Rachel can love whoever she wants, she is human. But expressing that love, acting on it, im sorry you lost that right long ago. I loved this movie though, taught me a lot about character and integrity.

He also played in that new Melrose Place. I wish that it was still coming on because when I was younger I knew that I couldn't watch it but i could watch 90210. :) What made me go out and buy this movie was when they showed it ONE FREAKING TIME ON DISH'S STARZ! I was soo ticked that they never showed it again. So I had to go and find it in the stores. I lucked out though. thank God! ;)
