The reason it worked to do that was because the auctioneer had the sale prices posted online after the sale was finished. Otherwise I would have never been able to catch them all running back and forth between two rings
You gotta bring help and an associate to bid for you make note of items you want set bid price have him work that bid sale while you remain contact with cell phone or walkie talkies we did that during 80s. At major swaps in Pennsylvania. @@mr.goodpliers6988
Wow. Cannot imagine the time and work it took to get those oldies displayed in such orderly fashion. Your voiceover is perfect for such a kick-back video. Thanks.
I have fond memories of my grandparents cars and even my parents cars from the 60’s and 70’s. Seeing all these cars and trucks brings back memories. It is interesting to think about how each of these vehicles was once brand new proudly sitting in someone’s driveway with a story to tell. Thanks for sharing this 🫶
Thanks for you taking your time and give the prices. Makes me dream of also living another hundred years or so to enjoy working on some of the cars and trucks. Again many THANKS for making my day.
Great stuff Tim !!! Thank you for sharing your journey !!! Please be careful and God bless you and yours !!!! Eddy. ( Just an Old Hillbilly and proud of it).
This is one of the best channels in the world when it comes to automobiles. I like how you intermingle with certain channels. I like watching you go through these 😊 auction sales.
I really enjoyed your narration of this auction. Your knowledge of so many makes models and years was impressive. Thank you so much for making these videos. I just wish I had known about these auctions before hand. Keep up the good work. Be safe out there
What one fine job the auctioneers did ! All that tin layed out on the grass and then parts , that’s so much work to put this event together! Hope there’s a big turn out .
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Very cool that many vehicles in one pice ! Agree it has become cheaper to fine a vehicle that one owner car, or like a couple in the action you’re at ! Great video. 🍩☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸
Thanks Tim for your coverage. Especially liked the sale prices noted on your initial walkaround. look fwd to the loadup. Gonna be hectic stripping parts. No doubt the scrappies have given you some time
A friend f mine back in the day had a 76 Fleetwood like the one in the auction. His was black with a red interior. It floated down the road like a dream, as smooth as silk and quieter than a mouse. Glad you gave it a once over. I repainted his in 1985 Im thinking. It took a lot of paint to spray it!
Great to see that '76 Fleetwood. My dad bought a brand new dark blue one in '76 just like the one in the video except my dads had the light blue leather interior. That car had the most comfortable ride ever. When I got my license in 1981 I was able to drive it quite a bit. I think he sold it in 1983, still in great condition. I'd be all over that 1100.00 Javelin. The prices at auctions out your way seem to be WAY cheaper than what people try to get for cars in Florida.
What an interesting stash of old iron. There are quite a lot of rare and beautiful vehicles. I mean they used to be beautiful in their prime. It makes me happy to see that a lot was saved from the crusher. I love odd cars like the bullet nose Studebakers and the Nash cars of the late Fourties. They went cheap but escaped being destroyed. Once parts are crushed they are gone forever. I am happy to see that the Chevies of the first half of the Sixties are getting some interest and value. I own to many of them. Probably they get the appreciation they deserve. A very good video indeed. Thanks for taking us along!
The lion's share of what was there was too far gone to be restored, and would cost many times the value of a finished car. Fortunately the scrap price wasn't real high at the time of this auction, otherwise many more would have gone away to the great junkyard in the sky. Our market is quite a bit down from where it's been, but 1959-65 Chevrolet cars are remaining desirable because there are several different groups who still have strong interest in them. If a restorer needs just a few pieces, you hit the sub-$500 buy-in for a cheap parts car fairly quick. Plus the invaluable reference resource for being able to look at one that is still intact
@@mr.goodpliers6988 I agree: It is sometimes very hard to source trim pieces, moldings and smaller parts for a project. While there is a lot of reproduced Chevy stuff, many parts for other makes have sometimes nearly unobtainium parts. But often moldings even for Chevy four doors are hard to get, specially if it is for an Belair and not an Impala. I suspect that some of those vehicles might end up as yard art. Or some interesting front clips and finned rears might be used as wall hangers or seats. I have a front of an Austin of the early Fifties in front of the house. A guy did turn the rear part of the same vehicle including the entire trunk into a fancy bar.
I think a bunch of people got some very good deals, it doesn't take many parts sold to make a profit on a $ 200-300 car and a bunch of them were in that price range. I also think they had too many cars on a one day auction on a hot day, I imagine quite a few people left before it was over and fewer bidders usually means cheaper cars. Thanks for another good video.
Also at 7:35 the 1954 dodge big truck should have the 331 Chrysler hemi in it which is desirable. the smaller trucks had the smaller cubic inch hemi like the 241 and 270 cubic inch. But grate video like how you put the prices in on every one. 👌
Thanks for putting this on , over here in sunny England all these are so so rare you could put a extra $0 on the end of the price and I’m st hey would still sell . Regards Roy.
The "caned ham" trailer reminded me of a large "teardrop" camper I'd see on my way to work, that I thought would fit an espresso machine and what's needed to operate it? On the outside there would be a fake handle (to scale) and a spout, with wisps of smoke coming from it. ;-)
Thanks for doing such a great job of showing all the cars and trucks, as well as the prices (even the ones destined for the crusher). This was my home ground, in that I started driving in the 50s, and all those old hulks tell me a story. I have passed on some real special cars in my time, such as a mint 67 335 hp, 390 powered Fairlane 4 door hardtop for $1200, but I just didn't have a place for it. I still have a couple of keepers, such as a 390 powered, Comet Caliente conv, and a 55 Chev Cameo, and at my age, I have to keep my mind on the projects I think I can do something with. What is the KB hood worth. My son has 2, 47 KB 1s one in real nice condition, and one parts truck.
@@mr.goodpliers6988 He has s spare grille as well. It is a funny thing, but his 47, used to sit beside my Cameo, and as much as we liked the look of it. people were only interested in my 55. Same amount of work and I thought a nice looking truck.
What an absolute shame a bunch of those are going to be scrapped...just think they were kept around for all those years just to be scrapped this year 😢
I tend to disagree with many of your purchases,(sorry!) but I think the 30ish GMC was good. You should have grabbed the chev superior too. Excellent , early, hot rod project. I liked the 2, 50 Olds, 2 Dr. + 4 Dr., for 1300 total. Some good (cheap) stuff there. Excellent coverage. Love, Dubs
A couple of quick tips on VW's, 67 and earlier had tubular bumpers, 67 was a transitional year when they went to 12 volt and they have the larger tail lights and cv axles instead of swingarm trans axle.

Absolutely Right 😊
The auctioneer did a great job of displaying the items for sale.
I appreciated how you toured each row and showed prices. Much easier to see what was there and what it sold for than following the bidding.
God Bless Mr. Goodpliers gonna save this video for tomorrow morning with my coffee and my cookie. May you always have a true blue spark.
