And they were awesome. However, this frigging jet was what stole the show. Incredible maneuvering machine. And I'm sure we just witnessed a fraction of its capabilities.
You're right, first time I saw one at an Airshow (2007-2008) it scared me because the maneuvers it pulled were flat spins and stalls. But it just flew out of the situation like no big deal. Been to a lot of airshows and never seen anything like it.

To those doubting my post, just remember that as of now, the F22 is banned by federal law from being exported in order to protect its stealth technology and classified features. Top speed, range and certain functions/features of the jet are either a rough estimate or omitted completely.
Just saw the F-22 at Selfridge Field ANG this July. It's an amazing aircraft and an amazing show and display. In 1945 during WW2 in the AAC my father came back from Italy and was waiting for his orders to go to the Pacific Theater at Wright Field, Ohio. While he was stationed there, he took part in disassembling and helped to reverse engineer captured German jet aircraft. I am so damn disappointed I still have yet to see an F22 demo. I almost saw it in 2008 or so but the show became mostly cancelled for financial reasons and they left. I just saw the F35 at Nellis this year do a demo and frankly that plane was pretty damn impressive for a single engine non-thrust vectored aircraft. I expected it to be a bit more compact like an F16, in person, but it's a beast of an aircraft. Flight control systems on F35 seem to be mega capable of making it do abnormal things. Would love to see an F22 and F35 combo demo...that'd be sick.

Yesterday I just saw the F22 Demonstration team at my local air show commanded by Samuel RaZZ Larson and oh my goodness! It doesn't look real when it's going vertical. And I get to see it again at Oshkosh!
That would be tough to keep it from going supersonic towards the end of the show when the tanks are almost empty and you're busy with thirty different things. Impressive!
By far......the baddest plane on the planet!! Seeing the Raptor in action makes me extremely proud to be an American!! He's got in my opinion the BEST job in the military or best job period. F-22 will never be topped......
I´ve attended several F22 demos, and I have never seen it breaking the sound barrier in those high speed passes, I mean It would be awesome to see that from the mighty F22!!
Wonderful narration following the F-22 thru its various maneuvers. You must be very proud, humble, but proud. lol Best wishes for a fulfilling career in our air force. May G-d keep his protecting hand on you and your fellow pilots.

MAJ Gunderson, I'm an old CW3 UH-60 pilot and I have to say this and no offense......but does you mom know where you are at?? Either I'm getting old (49) because it looks as if you just graduated the USAF Academy just yesterday. All jokes aside, your awesome and great video!! I've done my share on the airshow circuit specially KOSH (airport ID) and the F-22 was just getting it's feet wet when I retired so I've never seen it's capabilities and the airport director at KRFD hates airshows because we have UPS and Amazon so he cancelled all Airfests and the F-22 was scheduled to come that following year. Thanks for sharing the video. Be safe!!
Raptor is an awesome jet. I have always had one question though. At air show, upon take off right after wheels up they always veer off to the left or right away from the show line before going vertical. Not sure why, it is the only jet that I have ever seen do that. Pretty cool to watch though. Has anyone else ever noticed this and know why its done?

Fantastic explanation of the moves. Thank you for taking yor time to share this. 💗
Got to see him perform at Miramar this last September, it was awesome to see.
Very nice, I flew A6s in the USMC. That plane looks like it loves to fly. Of course I could kick your butt in some ACM. A6 has a one magic turn...then we turn into a grape. Thanks for the video. The Great Gandini
Yesterday I just saw the F22 Demonstration team at my local air show commanded by Samuel RaZZ Larson and oh my goodness! It doesn't look real when it's going vertical. And I get to see it again at Oshkosh!
Awesome video, thanks to everyone on the various Demo Team(s)!! One note, why in the hell would anyone give this a thumbs down? SMDH.
Thank you for your service ❤️

Great video. Yes I'm an old fan boy. I used to play Nova Logic F22 on my PC. Good times. You're doing it for real, awesome! Thanks for the video.
Nice video Josh, tanks!
The slow "conventional" maneuvers are nice. Oh how I'd love to see the fun stuff, I'd bet I'd get a charge out of that.
That would be tough to keep it from going supersonic towards the end of the show when the tanks are almost empty and you're busy with thirty different things. Impressive!
CABO & LOCO,,,your my inspiration as I dream to become a F-22 FIGHTER PILOT,,
Good luck with that bro, youre gonna need it. And good connections too.
@@rykehuss3435 Hard work, determination, and a humble attitude. "Good connections" have little to do with it.
dyce189 If you say so
@@rykehuss3435 I know so.
They can’t as it will damage civilian property
Trevor and Trevina’s Gaming Channel Trevor Hong they absolutely can! If the demo is performed at an airport but the don’t do it
thank you for your service!!!
Thank you for what you do for the USA. Enjoyed the commentary.

It's a beautiful aircraft. Thanks for sharing 👍
Y’all were throwing down two weeks ago or so. I posted a flyby of y’all. See you damn near everyday. Badass!! Be safe guys!
Wonderful narration following the F-22 thru its various maneuvers. You must be very proud, humble, but proud. lol
Best wishes for a fulfilling career in our air force. May G-d keep his protecting hand on you and your fellow pilots.
Thank you for sharing this video! Best aircraft, Air Force pride
Did you see the Smirk on the Major's face describing that last maneuver? Throttle-back...he smiled because inside he is wanting to "get crazy" with the F-22 Raptor's power. Lol...The Major loves the raw power and capabilities of the F-22.
Major....stay in Service and make General. God bless you Sir and the men / women who you Command. HOOAH!
I loved it when you guys came to elmendorf afb
F22 Raptor One Live !!!
Be safe!!
That last one would be so fun
ik most might not like this, but the F-22's 'Cobra' maneuver is actually called a Raptor Pounce.
Thank you so much Commander Gunderson!
Great description. Now on to the next G6 super performance fighter.
I have no words. Spot on.
That was absolutely awesome! Thank you!
I as in Singapore at the time of this airshow. My perspective was from Changi Naval Base. The F22 team put on a great show!
Awesome fighter jet F-22! Greetings from the Philippines, Sir..
So fascinating how people came up w the idea to build these flying machines. Marvels me to this day. Ant machine that flies actually marvels me
Thank you for Sharing Major. Aim High US Air Force.
something that imporesses me every time I hear a pilot speak is how dialed in they are to everything. Its like they have a PHD in Aeronautics.
Got to see one at the Kalamazoo airshow back in 2017?. Was loud and awesome lol. It did all these maneuvers :)
Thank you…terrific report!
Nice! Thanks for your service!
Nice vid!
This makes me so happy.
All the maneuverability of the Raptor comes down to one thing.
It can get into a position to shoot YOU down before you can shoot IT down. 😲 👍🏻
I probably watched the Original Top Gun, 5k times when I was young. Then ended up afraid of heights, so I joined the Army. ☺️
I realized the pilot in the video was you yourself at 1:50, when your face was visible cuz of the sun 😂
WELL DUH
Enjoyed your debrief!
So amazing kid!!!!!! wish i could do that !!!! Go USA FIGHTER PILOT!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND THE TALENT!! Regards, Rene Briones, Sarasota, Florida
One Amazing aircraft
Awesome! Having seen f-22 dem in person the video doesn't do it justice as it looks like it defies the laws of physics. It would b great it u could project a xyz graph in the background to show how beautifully it rotates. Thank u for ur explaination of the flight and Thank u for ur service to our country.
I love the f 22 raptor
Much appreciation for these guys and gals, and for reasons that are not obvious. I get nauseated watching my kids play a video game so how these guys do not get sick is beyond my comprehension.
I love the F22... but I'd have loved to see the YF23 fly in airshows too
itburnswhenip >> Have to agree that was a stunningly beautiful jet. The F-22 team watered the judges’ eyes more I guess...
@@jaybee9269 agreed, i'm shocked they went with the F22 over the YF23 when Northrop was already making B2s, but I've seen videos of people saying Lockheed pretty much bribed their way into production
I've read that Japan might buy YF23s as the F22 was forbidden to be sold to anyone, including allies, but since the original news article on it, not much else has been said.
