    Even just from watching this video i can already tell this approach is 100% effective and efficient way of learning. I love your tutorials. The name SCIENCE of Learning Powermoves fits perfectly. I can do upto 10 - 15 flares but they are nowhere close to how clean and high yours are.
    Im so inspired. after work im going to straight to practice.

    Thanks man. I already practiced the flare. The thing about these tutorials is you can just jump in when you need. If you are stuck at a certain part you can just jump in where needed.

    Hey bboy Avil,
    First I am glad to hear that some sections of exercises already made you learn.
    I did one workshop recently in Holland of the SOLPM and some people learned windmill basically in one day. Incredible...this shows that people are learning well before the suggested time and this makes me happy.
    I noticed that you have been very active and commenting about new tutorials.

    thank you for this video... I'm 32 years old now and been out of the game for about 6 years... My approach to practicing is to be very concise, and eliminate all possible causes of injury. I've been searching for an instructional video for flares that would suit my purpose and this is it. If I am able to execute at least two, I will upload a video and give you credit

    Just had to drop a comment here. Aii, so I've wanted to do flares for a while.. Gave up on flares and bboying since most tutorials were discouraging. Came across this channel this morning and DAMNNNN. This is exactly what I needed. I sped through the steps since I had a little muscle memory. My wrists hurt a bit since I was rather over enthusiastic, but I can see myself perfecting this in a month or so. Currently at stage 7. :) Thanks a lot, man.

    Thank you! Simply train the exercises of this video. This tutorial is made exactly so that people correct their legs, develop the right strength and learn it correctly.
    Train from step 1. There will be no mistake!

    Here's a story about this video that I have been working on flare for over six months
    On Step 1-4, it took me about two hours to reach all the way to 200 reps per day and it was a pain in the ass. In Step 5, I thought l suppose to do 100 per reps and it took me about two months to do that. In Step 6,7,and 8, it was very easy for me because I like the word "Muscle Memory". My muscle memory can even scan my work from doing a flare. Also, l sweat a lot completely wasting almost two hours of doing this. Step 9 and 10, my left leg almost popped out, but l know how to heal it but keep sitting there like an idiot and wait for it to heal for about five minutes. I will recommend this video to anyone who wanted to learn flare. Thank you Bboy Guinho(The Science of Learning Powermove) for helping me learning flare :)

    I follow this instruction and now i can do both Flare and Elbow Flare in 8 months, it's miracle :)))
    But Elbow Flare makes my elbow injured ! It's pretty dangerous ! I recommended practicing Flare & Elbow Flare at the same time to strengthen your hips and get the felling of throwing your body and twist your hip in the best way . GOod luck !

  • @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove
    @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove  11 лет назад

    Hei bboy Erlandas. Thank you for you video flare progression. You can try to train the first 4 steps of this tutorial and then train back again your flare.
    The point is that sometimes it is better to focus on developing strength with exercises than training only the movement itself. This gives you a better coordination and strength in your legs which will make it much easier for you to do many turns in your flare.

    Great series, finally someone has bothered to breakdown the power moves to ever individual aspect of the move!
    Though on step 1 when I switch to my left hand it hits the ground with a lot of force, meaning that I have trouble getting close to the 200 reps required....any advise on where I might be going wrong? / how I can lessen the impact? or is it just a matter of the tendons, forearm and wrists strengthening up?...

  • @martinio20
    @martinio20 11 лет назад

    depends which way you do other powermoves etc.
    if you do your windmill with a right freeze, do it like in the video, otherwise you won't be able to connect them and you have to learn one the other way around. if you don't know any powermoves yet, it's nothing to worry about, as long as you make sure to learn other powermoves in the same direction

    Thank you for your comment and remark. When the videos says "do 2000 times during 2 weeks" this implies that you will do it on average 5 days per week.
    2 days are for relaxing. Since we did not state this detail in the video some viewers assume that they need to train 7 days a week but it is actually around 5. This is btw an average and you can do it in your own way.

  • @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove
    @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove  11 лет назад

    First of all, it is a great news that you are doing 3 in the flare. Try to stretch your wrist a lot before training. Also try to drag your legs..there is no need to put a lot of momentum yet. Kick your legs smoothly and reduce the numbers for a while.
    For example, try to do only 50 or 100 per days so that your wrist feels comfortable. Since you can already do 3 now it is going to be easier so just reduce the rythm and then come back to it.

    In the first exercise; is it important to keep your left leg and your hips up in the air as much as possible and lean your body back, or is it just important that your left leg is in the air no matter how high your hips are? And should I push the ground with my left arm as hard as I can? thank you!

  • @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove
    @TheScienceofLearningPowerMove  11 лет назад

    B.boy Erlandas! If you cannot hold yourself in the step 1. Try to stretch a bit before. Have a longer break before you go again to the sections.
    The important thing is that you don't hurt yourself.
    But in all cases you will need to go through this process and get used to it because this section of exercises is not light at all. However, they are easy to follow. So you need to force yourself. In the first weeks it may be very heavy but then you will get used to it.

    this is video is really good, I am still working on my flares, my maximum number was 2 and a half , but only the 1st was really a flare , still have problems when the legs are on the back , this video is verry good , from the start to learn the positions and to gain strenght , I think you said 200 times a day as an averege because it depends of the body and how fast you learn , because some steps you can do it faster other slower, but I really like it , thunbs up from me :)

    I have been following your video ever since summer and it is effective. I am now trying to get at least two. When you are doing a flare, what part of your body are you focusing on? Like are you thinking about pulling your leg, keeping your arms flexed to hold you up, or swapping your hands? Because I noticed focusing on certain parts like that actually help me.

    might be that you are not dragging your leg. Try to drag it smoothly and regard it as one exercise not the real flare. You will start to kick with impact only in step 10.
    At the beginning the wrist can hurt a bit..try to stretch it before and concentrate on puttin your hand as light as possible on the floor.
