Probably because her character development didn't show in this movie, try to watch the anime and you would know why Rio fell in love with her. The movie cut so many scenes that's why it doesn't make sense why Rio end up with Yuna and why Akari end up with that boy

i already watched the anime, i just found out weeks ago that it has a live-action. but damn, why the music makes this video even sadder? if their parents didn't get married, i'm sure they'll be together rn. honestly i really like them together more. :')
