@@TheLanesOfficial yea, im going to go and look at a couple of pre owned in the next couple of week. looking to buy a spark 2up or 3up. 1: how is reliability? 2: what hour jet ski should i be looking to buy. eg under 50 hours?
No issues with reliability, we have had ours for 3 years and not a single issue. Get the recommended services based on hours and you should be ok. Hours on the ski wouldn’t be the biggest worry if you get a good price.
Completely new to the jet ski game. No more circuit racing, but want something to have some fun on. Great video, and has really helped me with my decision. I have been looking at used ones, as I don't want the outlay of a new one, and find it's not me. Anything to look for on used ones?
So I’ve found a Spark 3 up with 74 hours on it. Would you be hesitant buying a ski with that many hours? It’s a 2014, and it’s around $5750 with a trailer included.
@@TheLanesOfficial No major dings it seems, just the plastics are sun faded, I found a 2016 with 140 hours that seems to be in a little better condition that can be had at 50 bucks more, I’m gonna check em out today!

Hi there , I am debating between the trixx and the Normal Spark, the main thing for me is speed , is the normal grid fast? Compared to the trixx, I am looking for a good price and a fast manoverable jet ski, what would you recommend?
If speed is what your after then the Spark may not be for you, you may want to look at something bigger. The Spark has great acceleration as they are super light but top speed is 80km where other skis will smash out at over 100km. I’m happy with my spark and don’t see the need to upgrade to the trixx
No issues at all so far, Great Ski u less you just wanna go super fast and have to travel long distances . Throw the hose on for 30 seconds to clean and your done. Get the yearly service and your good to go
I also live in Brisbane. What are some great spots to go jet ski. I will be buying a JetSki in a week. I’m going to try Broadwater. Any other suggestion. Thanks
We have ours docked on the canal so we stick to the GC Broadwater. There are some cool lil mangrove runs around tipplers. Are you gonna buy the spark ⚡️
Hey man! In the clips with 2 people riding on the spark, was that you riding with a passenger on the 2up? Just want to make sure I can bring a passenger if need be. I’m not particularly a large person and neither is my girlfriend. Thanks!
Hey man. Have you had any mechanical issues with the Sparks? Thinking about getting one for the bay, trying to figure out the pros and cons of the Spark and if it’s a good ski for me and my girlfriend. Thanks in advance!
💯 % you need to get a spark. I’ve had 0 issues in 3 years. Hopefully that didn’t just jinx me. So many positives. I have a video coming out on 5 reason you need a spark but they are so cheap to run and have great power and are light enough that you don’t get stuck on the beach. I wouldn’t change my spark for any other ski. Hope that helps
Fantastic question I have just recorded a video on that, rather than taking my small wife I took a friend so we just exceeded the 160kg limit and the ski handles the weight it’s just not very comfortable. Sports mode though get you up out of the water though. Also video coming on sports mode. Hope this helps any other questions let me know
Believe i have one of these.. and boy oh boy are they fun to ride but only solo tho.. once yet another adult it’s pretty uncomfy to ride the pwc with a high chance of falling of the ski when making turns because it’s so light.
How are these different to the next model up aside from upgrades like sound system. Im referring to more of control on lakes, turbs, confort riding around laked, etc
As far as I know very little difference, I see a lot of people are now purchasing the comfort seat after market. Top speed and acceleration are the same on all the models
@@TheLanesOfficial i have cottage on lake and had a 08 seadoo and looking to get one now. My lake is huge but i wouldn't travel that far. They don’t all sink 😂😂😂 otherwise no one would ever buy one. Check out my channel I have a video on reasons to buy and another video on reasons to not buy a spark
Haven’t tried a 60 myself but I would avoid a 60hp at all costs, the 90hp is still a slow ski in comparison with great acceleration so I can only imagine a 60 would be pretty slow and boring if that makes any sense
IBR is the breaking system which allows you to either be in neutral or reverse. Without IBR you slowly move forward. As you can see I don’t have IBR and don’t believe it’s worth the additional $$$ as very rarely do you need to reverse
@@TheLanesOfficial After checking into these one thing about buying a 60 over 90 would be you can send the 60 ecu out for around $200 and change it to a 90/110 hp which is a lot less than Seadoo is charging you to go from 60 to90 hp one......The only draw back for the 60 is Seadoo doesn't allow you to get the IBR on the 60 hp ones it has to be 90 hp only.....Otherwise the cheapest setup would be if you could get the 60 with IBR then send the ecu off to tune it to 90/110. And just to let you know this was a great review and I'd love to have me one of those little beast's.
I will never, under any circumstances, buy a spark again. The water cannon pump did not work even 100 hours. The dealer quoted a price of $2,190 for pump replacement and service. I said I couldn’t afford it and took the jet ski home. I brought the jet ski home and replaced the pump myself for $500. But unfortunately I couldn’t start it. shows no signs of life. I won’t go to the dealer anymore and I can’t figure out electronics on my own. Why do I need such complex and expensive to maintain shit?

Hey, is it a comfortable ride for island hopping and open waters?
Defiantly not, it will get you there but in open water it’s a rough ride.
