The Jim line is also insanely strong because the challenger gets absorbed by the shifted Jim the turn you play him. So on turn 3 you can ink and shift Jim to do 8 total damage.
Love this deck. I'm new to Lorcana and wanted to make an Azurite deck with some of my favorite characters so I have Beast - Protector and Belle - Strange but Special in my version at the moment but the overall concept is the same and Alice is an MVP. Really underrated card that I love! I like that the deck can go up against aggro but also have strong mid-game threats.
I feel like you really need to be running 4 of Tragic Hero Beast. Getting it out with Alice to ward it is really strong and makes you less reliant on wheel which can burn you against aggro and RB
As someone who plays blue steel I can definitely say this deck needs more work. Only having 8 ramping options (only 4 of which are on turn two) will make this deck much much slower. Ruby decks, no matter what color they pair with, will destroy this deck. There are too many answers in Ruby to deal with these, and midrange decks struggle heavily against control decks. Also Mickey on turn one is just waiting for the Imperial Bow so he can be a useful remover, so if you don’t have that then he is useless. Captain Hook is a better option hands down. Also Pluto is an Ally so he cannot use the bow. I do think Calhoun and Alice are good cards here though. Calhoun is a UNIT against against early game cards, and her resist +1 makes her hard to remove early on. Watch out though for Befuddle and other bounce effects. Haven’t tested Alice yet but I’m looking forward to it.
This deck looks really fun! Would love to try it out, but it's sadly beyond my budget for now. Working on a SS hero deck, and will definately use this for inspiration 👍 Edit. Do you think the Jim Hawkins line is worth it without awnw and ramp?

How does the challenger get absorbed? I didn’t think abilities passed to the newly shifted character.

@@craigandrews7544 shiftet cards retain static effects, so he still got the Challenger +2 till end of Turn
Played this tonight and seemed pretty good. Also ramp is such a Calhoun counter as well. Imperial bow also checks Calhoun as well.

I love Jim, I'm also trying to test if Jim is better than the John Silver Shift cause the 6/6 +2 resist is just a beast with the same effect as Jim.

i have trouble using this deck against emerald steel and amethyst steel... i have no idea what I'm doing wrong

The deck in the video has 15 uninkables and the Dreamborn link deck has 16. Any idea what the difference is?

this deck make hyper agro so bad. You can sing grab too early is the main big deal here ....
