❤❤❤ ! I watched your videos for years as a CNA ! And at 39 I finally got my GED and jumped right into taking prerequisite for LPN … Thank you for sharing your story ! It helped me .
Nurse B, I started following you at the beginning of my LPN journey. You have been a huge inspiration. With your help, I just finished my RN program! Thank you!
I’ve been a funeral director for 15 years now. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse but waited past the 10 year time frame to not have to do the prerequisites over again. For three and a half years I didn’t go back to school because I didn’t want to take the prerequisites over. Long story short I am in my last semester of prerequisites and I passed my teas after taking it one time. I got tired of making excuses and just did what needed to be done. And it went super face.
Before I start watching this video , the title got me! I dropped at 17& got my GED at 23! At 33, after working& hustling , I’m currently going thru my prerequisites rn for LPN. After that , I have to take my ACT& then my TEAS! I have one semester left& nervous asf! But I’ve came this far , thank God🙏🏽
@@yourfavnurseb9699 given the circumstances you faced you powered through it and it’s an inspiration to me I appreciate you taking your time to share with others your journey and what it’s like in the program. I’m in Fresno California next semester I’m sitting for my last final class before I finally apply to the lpn program at my community college . There are a total of 6 pre reqs you have to take before can even apply I have spent about 2 1/2 years taking these courses next semester will be 3 years . I saw your other video on how you can get in without any pre reqs depending on the state you live in . Cali is a different ball game. Good thing is though those classes are the same pre reqs for the lvn to rn bridge so don’t have to take those and can immediately bridge. I really needed this because I still haven't been able to pass my intro to anatomy and physiology class. I am taking it again next year at my community college. I am not use to being tested on 4 chapters. I am a teacher and with me not having to work during the holidays. I will be reading my anatomy and physiology textbook especially the chapters that I didn't understand. Plus my mindset needs to change. I need to stop telling myself that I am not smart enough or that I can't do something. I am not in nursing school yet. I will pass my intro to anatomy and physiology course. And I am paying out of pocket for my pre-reqs I have had people tell me maybe Nursing isn't for me maybe I should change my major. And the process of getting into Nursing school it's no joke at all. All I need to do is study for my anatomy and physiology daily. And Prayer as well. Science takes a lot of time for me to understand. Especially the chemistry chapter. I understand what anterior and posterior is and also the body cavities. And of course the terms anatomy and physiology. And I at least know what glucose is it has to do with sugar.Thank you for this video.
