We are most impressed with this electric scooter, it changes the way we've viewed electric scooters..
In fact we can go much faster than almost all the other scooters available in the market.
Although we completely agreed that it's worthy of the price, it's still a very expensive scooter nonetheless.

We are most impressed with this electric scooter, it changes the way we've viewed electric scooters. But, it will not be a practical replacement for internal combustion engined scooters... yet.
The short comings are largely evident while traveling on the steep inclined roads with pillion rider. But, if you are not carrying pillion, the same roads is not a problem at all. In fact we can go much faster than almost all the other scooters available in the market.
The second disadvantage is the price... although we completely agreed that it's worthy of the price, it's still a very expensive scooter nonetheless.

when i was in Delhi my brother has this scooter ather 450x,i use to ride alot and it is fun easy to handle,,but after 1 year or lil more the battery drain so much faster than before,,,,it has good pick up its pretty fast too,,but carrying load is not for electric scooter, to be frank i don't recommend for hilly areas especially if your priority is performace and speed its gonna disappoint you in hilly areas as it has many steep road,price is fair i would say.aiso note that the more you go faster the battery drain faster...sometimes on my way to home the scooter run out of battery in the middle of the road,,it took 5 hours and 20-30 minutes to fully charge,, if you are looking scooter for family basis use don't go on electric sctooter,for middle class like me the maintenance and part is very expensive.

my friend owned one of these scooters it was performing efficient ly until a year has passed the problem is that the battery is a big issue. The battery is very prone to caught fire if overcharged and during rainy season the roads here in karnataka became flooded thus driving this electric scooter is likely to get damaged . And I feel like the purpose of this scooter is mainly meant for commuting so 🙂good luck trying to carry loads
Probably you mix up with the very earliest version or other Electric Scooter. Ather 450x never catch fire. And the scooter will work even half of it is immersed in water. The battery is and motor is quite reliable. That's way the company of giving 3 years warranty plus another 2 years during the festive season. (There are proof of its reliability across the internet)
Ather Energy used to make batteries before making scooter. Their batteries are the most reliable of all E-Scooters, Coz it stood the test of time, even never before the 450x.
The battery cannot be over-charged with the recommended charger. Because the software just don't allow it to be over-charged it cuts the charging once the battery is full.
The motor and Battery is both IP67 rated, water and dust proof plus it is also baked it in an oven to show it is shielded form external heat, it is made with metal casting so that internal great can dissipated faster.
The motor and Battery are both cooled by fan during extreme heat wave or during maximum performance so the chances catching fire is extremely low. Ather scooter itself has no record of Fire except that one incident that the showroom caught fire of high voltage short circuit, but lo the surprise, all the scooter batteries and motor survive.
A normal combustion engine with the exhaust outlet emerged inside water during flood will create more problem LOL
