most of the tour guides are from the government that will never try to scam you even they will protect you from scammers, and with tour guides they will show you, inform you and make you experience the true beauty of moroccan cities. how you treated some of the people just trying to help you was very unfriendly! the majority of moroccans are friendly and hospitable people. don't feel afraid if you get that much kindness from the people
They are not used to humanity or I do'nt know... Also, not getting lost in the medina is impossible. You NEED a guide. So, go with official guides. Don't treat people like dogs please.
@@syakila4959 I don't know actually. In the video one of the guys had a badge. But just use your social skills. If the guy looks friendly and clean then you can trust him, just talk about money beforehand. In some medinas, even if you dont want help when you get lost you'll get help anyways to find your way out... xD
In Fès there’s the old university in the world you should see it, actually Fès needs a tour guide not like other cities that you can explore by yourself
The moment where all the calls for prayer went at the same time was so wholesome..what makes it even more interesting is that we hear it everyday but you made us look at it with a different eye.
14:07 the part that i liked the most in this video is the sunset over the city mixed with the beautiful call of prayer !!!!!!! Amazing and so overwhelming ❤️
It is very unlikely that I will ever get to Fez morocco, So thanks for letting me experience a bit of that fascinating place vicariously through your travels! Stay safe and have fun!
I only recorded 1 day of the 3 days we were in Fez and our Hostel owner gave us directions and places we had to visit, we love exploring on our own but also know the benefits of a guide.
There are so many historic places and architectural masterpieces in Fes that represent all the great dynasties that have succeeded one another, I'm afraid you missed it all. One of the comments was right in saying that you need a guide for Fez, if not, at least a good preparation for the trip so as not to miss anything. I still hope you enjoyed the city!
We didn’t use a guide but we ask locals where to eat and what to see, this was just 1 days in Fez but we spent another two days which I didn’t record a video for
I have Moroccan very good friend of mine and he take me everywhere we travel together! I can assure you no scammers will come to you if you walk with Moroccan
Wow ! You don't know and haven't seen anything there ! You needed someone to show you the way to all the amazing places ,like the 1st university in the world!
I am sorry for the unpleasant moments you might have had in Fez. But I hope you enjoyed it overall. Morocco is getting economically better and we as Moroccans hope that the people would not have to make there earnings by husseling and making people like yourself feeling uncomfortable. 🤗
All the satellite dishes are there because in previous years people used to receive satellite waves to watch TV..but now they don't need to use those dishes.
for the satellite dishes , moroccans doesn't pay a plan for tv not like in europe , u can have all the chanels with this satellite without paying yre operator . that's why a lot of moroccans still use this to avoid paying a subscription
i think visitng Fez must be well prepared and planned especially if it' not within orgnised travel "guide", you know you may be facing problems in some places you shouldnt walk down
if you are coming to Casablanca I'll be glad to show you the city and local places. just some infos, fez city is well known as the first city in the world to haves a three stores house and the lanst place you went to for the sun set ,it called the Marinids tombs(one of the moroccan dynesties who ruled over morocco, north africa and al andalus)

Sometimes the most beautiful authentic places in the world have stories about 'scammers'. Ask yourself why, how and by whom they are financed. It will open your eyes. They just don't want people to go there because most of the time those places are gems. It's another culture where people have their own kind of freedom and less worries.
That's why I'm wondering why did it take that long for our rulers in Morocco to realise that It's time to replace the bloody French by English? We have to do it for the sake of our economy it's a matter of common sense. Have an enjoyable journey in Morocco guys!
