Well that's good and creepy. It may not have been a real vampire, but I believe those kids saw something. Children don't just gather with the intent to kill. Not for no reason at least.
I think the most likely lesson here is one that we are currently seeing repeat and repeat: humans are wired to fear a threat, but we are not wired to stop fearing it if we learn it was never a threat. We are more likely to double down and insist even harder in the existence of a threat, the more it is proven that it does not exist.
As adults, we often scoff at the antics and beliefs of children. But we're just cynical big children ourselves. The truth is that children are more open to the possibility that our world isn't as explicable as we adults believe. And, BTW, there were a LOT of various (also scarier) comics coming out of the US at that time. Did at least some of these children have this one, or is this just adult-speak for "Here's your explanation, the world makes sense again"?
I had heard of this in a tour of the town's kind of show. The locals til this day, they honestly believe in vampires and werewolves and such. So to them this was true, they do have vampires there. It freaked me out enough, so to hear that a comic book could have caused it, makes me feel better.
Ahh great to see my home town and first it pronunciation is glass-go (Glasgow) and also I herd this one and it was believed they all acted this way due to a new comic book to do way vampires something along the line is why they believe they acted that way remember this was the time way litterly nothing to do compare to us so it's prob easily moniplated alot of them to believe Just saw the last bit where you mentioned the comic 🤣 still crazy bizzar
Thanks for flagging up the Gorbals Vampire legend, although you seem to have used quite a lot of photographs of the "Northern" Necropolis up at the Glasgow Cathedral, and it was estimated that on the actual night it was 150 children who turned up at the cemetery. The event took place within the Southern Necropolis, which is on the southside of the city of Glasgow. For more info about the legend, and the new graphic novels based on the story, follow this link : www.southernnecropolis.co.uk/page111.html
This also isn't famous beyond Glasgow lol there's a mural here about it. Some kids read comics and started a rumour and all decided to hunt for a vampire. I'm amazed you got a 5 minute video out it. Knowing this story it makes me think less of your other videos tbh because this is a total non story. Is nice to hear about my hometown even if it's not pronounced right.
A bunch of kids running around at night hunting vampires in a graveyard isn't a story to you? I highly disagree. This was such an fun and awesome topic to write about. Also I'm not sure why you'd want to diminish your own hometown but hey, you do you. As for the mispronunciation, my apologies. I figured it was pronounced like it's spelled because I had never heard of Glasgow before this video.
@@AllTimeTwo It's not that out of the ordinary is all I meant, instead of fighting each other some kids decided to team up to hunt a rumour. I'm just amazed that could be padded out to a 5 minute video.
Good job son!
Thanks dad!
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Wholesome
LMAO
Me, Myself and I lol😂
Omg they need to make this into a movie.
I'd totally watch it!
Those children read the headlines and took the threat seriously. They displayed more courage than the adults.
100% agree with you!

Right? Especially 200 children. I would love to know what really happened but I suppose it's been lost to time.
"It could've been worse,it could've been glasgow."stantan shaw,chaos zombies.
there is a older map with a vampire.
it's treyarch.
Aye this is a true story . I remember being told about it when i was younger . I live near Glasgow.
This reminds me of stephan king's children of the corn.
Scary. I remember reading about this when I was younger.
It more than likely wasn't a vampire, but the children had to have seen someone.
Weird adults creeping around at night is scary enough even without the vampire angle, ya know?
Some people think about it. These kids acted without hesitation.
Imagine being as brave as these kids were at their age. How badass.
Maybe it's a crazy person
Kids saw him kidnapping and thought he is a vampire
A very creepy story I absolutely loved it. Can't wait for more videos soon
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your videos 😁
Glad you like them!
@@AllTimeTwo I share your videos with my family and friends.

I totally agree. There is so much weird stuff in the world and to disregard it all is silly. I'd love to have known what actually happened.
i love this channel

"Glass-go", thanks for the correction, I have burnt it into my brain now if I ever need to say it again haha.
In my experience the children are to be believed

It just makes me wonder what stories from other countries are the same and not really as substantial as they appear. I did enjoy it.
Hmmm interesting stuff, but many things are adults not teaching their kids truth from fiction
Whats your star sign?
Make videos about the concave earth because this earth here is concave and humanity actually lives inside not outside a ball!
kids are more open to the ME to.
