Aug hits harder and definitely has better range but Tar is one of the most consistent weapons in the game with a decent fire rate. One could say that the Aug is slightly broken, if thats so, the tar is a very good competitor to it.

Magnums headshot damage boost is not that much to make a difference if you hit your shots, Armor piercing only works shooting through objects, emp bullets work best on drones etc. Soft point bullets cause the enemies to flinch more which messes with their aim and gives you an advantage if you hit your shots.

I play the game on a laptop w HD 520, i5 6200u and get 30-40 fps on lowest settings, so.. don't expect much
I play on i3 5005u Intel HD 5500 and I get 50 fps most of the time
