I tend to be a bit repetitive in my free flow drills, my plan to address that is to practice a couple of different movements from each guard and drill those separately to help me unlock different branching paths, so to speak.
I have been binging on your work for two days straight now. Thanks for such amazing and educational content! It piqued my interest in medieval warfare and personal self defence skills in general!
i'd like to add, a good excercise for tendons and joints is to take a heavier wooden sword, japanese call them surubito, their bokken but much thicker and heavier than usual bokken, you use basic sword drils, slowly, not fast, but slow concentrated movements, like weightlifting, it'll strengthen the tendons and joints and etc, it's a real nice excersize, i just bout a post and widdled one end down for a handle and i use it, simillar to the club swinging excersize but with sword techniques
How long are you training this already? When you're somewhat new to this kind if movements, give it time. Always warm up and stretch, and strengthen your wrists. I came a long way using increasing heavier sticks - like bamboo, wood, thin metal and so on. Go slow and listen to you body, you'll make it :)

When performing Zwerchhau focus on moving your elbow (from side to side with leading arm) and hip instead of only your wrist with a proper thumb-grip.. Also try to use a punching-back/tire for fast direction changing in zwerching. Principal strikes can flow into another but Zwerchstrikes must stopped without a target. Thats happend often in sparring for e.g. feints but is stressful for your joints in training in the long run.
A question please, is it better for sword handle to be round like a cylinder or like a rectangular , my sword handle have a rectangular shape and I feel is a bet harder to control in sword flow

@@LionofAllah-37 Your Grip is rectangular? Thats a bit odd to be honest. Best is, in my opinion, an oval shape :)
Unfassbar. Du hast das Talent zum Schauspieler.

I didn't know that Hamburg had a Witcher School

That was a great demonstration!

A pre-mutation White Wolf
For added intensity, I like to do this exercise to my favorite video game boss music, and pretend I'm fighting that boss
C'est magnifique ! 😲
German Warrior Badass!!! Fantastic Demonstration!!!
Nice.
One day, I want to grow up with sword swinging arms like yours:)
Somebody get my a Frankish crossbow, this Hamburger swordsman is out of control!

Need you to consult for the witcher lol
Ah das ist eine richtig gute Sache muss ich mal probieren
I find my wrists hurt with powerful direction changes, like zwerching different sides and the other cuts you did in the beginning. Any tips?

Followed instructions... now one ear... help
I ususally only go about 70 % speed because I only own a sharp functional sword, seems a bit dangerous to go full force and full speed with it
Absolutely...take care with your sharpy :)
