  • Progressing his way up the league rankings, James Harden made yet another case in 2016-17 as the league’s most valuable player as he led the association in assists. Winning the first of his two career assist titles averaging a career-high of 11.2 dimes a game, Harden guided his Houston team to 55 wins and the second round of the playoffs.

    This roster might possess the best group of jumpshooters he has ever played around. Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, Lou Williams, Pat Bev. All of them at least 38% from 3 playing with James at one point. A lot of firepower for him to take advantage of defenses with.

      It's a big reason for his iso success but at the same time it was a downfall because no one on that team was the greatest of defenders.

      Dud was always a solid stretch 4. Easy rotation piece for any bench.

      While I don't think that Kobe or Wade could have done this, there was more than enough evidence for MJ to lead the team as a point guard.
      But I will give those other three gentleman something Harden couldn't do. And that was lead a team as the number one guy to a championship.
