- So a few videos ago, when installing my new stereo, I did not follow the instructions. This lead to me having this frustrating light come on. Would it cause my air bags not to work if its on? I'm not sure, but one thing I hate more then anything is dash lights on.
I give you two options which will both clear the light. One option is literally $20, which is 90 % cheaper then bringing it to your local dealership. The Xtool U281 OBD2 CAN BUS Car Trouble Code Reader is no longer available, check out this other option.

Quick Question.. airbag deployed after a light crash.. front seat belts locked also..light came on on dashboard.. so. i got the airbag online shipped to me.. shluld installing this new airbag will clear the light on dashboard..is there anything else that needs to be done....

I've never dealt with resetting the air bag light after a crash. I've reset them after I did a bunch of work with them out, not sure if the $20 scanner would help.
For the seat belt, sometimes removing them and turning them upside down resets the lock spring, sometimes it won't do anything and your stuck buying a new seat belt.
Did you solve your problem? I have the same issue and was wondering how to fix it.
@@Ardeshna after the mechanic installed the new airbag and seatbelts car was like new again, not sure what he did but looks new again with no dashboard lights...
Bought a Carista scanner, it comes with 1 month subscription included. Used that to clear airbag code. Unsubscribed after fixing.
That’s not a 20$ fix that OBD reader is over 2k🤦🏻♂️ that’s half the money I used to fix my car myself 😂
I know the scanner I used is expensive, that's why I showed the $20 option that will do the same thing.
@@SouthdownGarage The regular scanners dont have the option to clear airbag codes.

So no, you can't reset the airbag light for as little as $20.. you need that giant a$$ tablet tool that cost thousands of dollars... 😞
I put the $20 option in there that works, however, I used the more expensive one in the video yes!
