Currently as well in Nurgle's sweet embrace, but here's my list; 1 Brunswick lancers, 2 Dutch guard lancers, 3 60th Rifles, 4 3rd Dutch Guard Grenadiers, 5 Empresses Dragoons.
Nice selection! For me I would have Russian Guard Cossacks, French Empress Dragoons, 42nd Highlander, Duchy of Berg Lancers and Hesse Homberg Hussars. All based on aesthetics 😊
Always a great watch and love your humor, your channel is a great reference point and always helpful my knowledge of napoleonic is minimal haha painting some Italians for around 1812 for a friend man they challenging especially as they are elite miniatures very characterful figures, enjoy listening to you as I paint keep up the good work no harsh comments from me your excellent
Hi Tim. You made my night! I thought the 1806 Prussian Hussars at 01:30 looked familiar (the ones in the black jackets)... I painted these figures way back in 2008! They're only ickle 1/72 scale. I posted on this previously, but that comment seems to have disappeared - maybe because I'd included a link to more pics on the HaT website. ANYWAY, cheers & get well soon for that wedding next week!
Just a suggestion try to get to Quatre-Bras there are incredible monuments there to not only all the various troop’s including British but also to the Duke of Brunswick who fell there if you film this it will be a FIRST for RUclips as there is currently no videos on this!!
The crossroads does have a few monuments and also derelict buildings, overgrown weeds, and a general look of disrepair. Shameful that the Belgians don’t preserve it. Although they are Belgian I guess after all.
Quick sort of related question: 🙋♂️ I am about to do a box of 95 th. Riffles. How many of these skirmishers do I put on a standard base? Is it 2 or 3 per base or do I just use individual bases for them? 😊 Thank you, Sir! 😊
1: grenadier company, 22e de ligne 2: old guard cavalry (if i had to pick, then the poles. or "les dieux"? idk) 3: Bavarian Leibregiment 4: saxon garde du corps 5: russian guard infantry, semyonovsky rgt if i had to pick one
In no particular order Royal Horse Artillery, Austrian Jaeger, Saxon Zastrow Cuirassier, Swiss Regiments in French Service ... and may I have Portuguese Cacadores?
I wasn't sure if I counted Scot Grey ls has heavy dragoons (think Pavlovs as grenadiers) so I didn't include them, they are deffo up there though! I'm sensing you like Scottish units? 🤣
Very sorry to hear you've been ill. Now that I have access to healthcare, through Medicare, it seems like its all consuming of my time and expendable income, in co-pays & deductibles. Is that true with NHS as well ? Have enough to do with terrain & Brunswickers on the painting queue. Haven't invested in any Guard or Elite units. Although, I do have a box of Warlord Household Guard waiting but I'm hesitant because you'd think the Airborne won every war since they were created and all the other units were just background stand ins. Plus, in Black Powder, I'm afraid they'd just sweep away the whole board with "Charge at Anything" . I have been looking about for some British Infantry Guard units but I don't know if they have any distinctive features like bearskin helmets are whatever. Do have some Spanish Elite Guard, which look great on the table but tend to run for the table edge with the rest of their "companieros" when the 'French bring the heat. Hugs

Not a bad list, sir
1.Saxon Zastrow Cuirassiers. 2.Congreve's RHA Rocket Troop
3.95th Rifles
4.Dutch Lancers
5. Chasseurs a Cheval du Garde Napoleons Escort Squadron.
@martinjackman2943 I do like the CaC of the guard. But then I painted a unit of them...the Horror. The Horror. 🤣
I think the Mamelukes of the Imperial Guard look great, and are a very unique looking unit.
The brightly coloured and distinctively Middle Eastern, the red, yellows and green outfits of these legendary warriors stood out very well in Europe
The RHG (Blues) amalgamated with the 1st Dragoons (Royals) in 1969 to create the Blues & Royals
All good choices - as my No. 1 is the Saxon Guard du Corps
I would have put in The French Guard Empress Dragoons

The most elite of course, the US Army’s Regiment of Riflemen which you regrettably did not mention.

4. Austrian grenadiers
3. French middle guard
2. Polish lancers
1. Old guard
1: grenadier company, 22e de ligne

My favorite units I have
East Prussian Jager
1st Guard Reg zu Fuss
95 Rifles
Chevalier Guard
Pavlov Grenadier
Cant beat Brunswick Black Hussars! Or any Black Brunswickers for that matter.
The Grenadiers of the Guard are not just the best soldiers of the time. I think they were the best soldiers of any time
Nah Hannibal's veterans
Honestly making this list seems like quite a challenge. Especially if youre trying not to choose only french units ))
Ikr?! 🤣 I mean, 5 - 1 could have just been French guard cav 🤣
Could you do video about best 3D prints for napoleonic era?
1. Empress Dragoons (in parade dress)
2. Lancers of Berg
3. Guard Chasseurs a Cheval (with Mamluk squadron and YG squadrons ) 3fer!
4. Prussian Guard Cavalry Regiment - 4fer!
5. Neapolitan Elite Regiment in 1813 - 3fer (rubbish troops but sunglasses needed to paint these troops)
For me:
1. Royal Scots Greys
2. 42nd Highlanders
3. Old Guard
4. 95th Rifles
5. Gordon Highlanders
I wasn't sure if I counted Scot Grey ls has heavy dragoons (think Pavlovs as grenadiers) so I didn't include them, they are deffo up there though!

@@NapoleonicWargaming Correct
