This video helped me understand your deal breakers for friendships. In my life my besties all have some type of heart break from their parent including myself, I reflected while listening to you and realised this.
That each of us, in our circle are not talking to at least one parent. My mother left my brother and I when we was extremely young and she’s always be absent choosing to live in another state from us children. Honestly she’s never been authentic unfortunately, come to realise as an adult she’s a lost damaged soul and I pity her. Fast forward to now and we haven’t spoken since 2018 she’s changed her number.
Sometime we have beautiful souls as parents taken away, sometimes we have broken lost souls as parents, other times we have souls that foster our upbringing and nurture us. Myself and my friends didn’t always have that but we promised to love our babies unconditionally and to be present in mind body and soul. At the end of the day I don’t want to be a victim, I just want to change the cycle that my parents have in their lives. You can’t choose your family but you sure can choose your tribe. 🤍
