Overworking oneself to death is a real problem in Japan. Office workers particularly find it difficult to have a healthy work/life balance because their careers demand so much of their time so the salary-person career makes reference to that with its grueling work schedule.

I love Japanese Cherry Blossom trees! They are so pretty. I even have perfume that is Japanese Cherry Blossom (my mom sneezes when I wear it so I don't wear that often). But the tree would be another whole big reason why I would get the pack.

It’s funny but the new career ties in perfectly with this new expansion. Having studied/ traveled to Japan. They have very strong work ethics, the amount of times I used to get off work with my Japanese co-workers and we’d go karaoke. We’d be drunk during the week days but it was part of their work culture. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been in Japan, I miss it all.

Imperial Japan did a lot of very bad things all across Asia and haven’t apologised for some of those things and refuse to accept that some of them even happened. One of the things they did was force ancestor worship and it was pretty much mandatory that you show up at the shrine though there were few exceptions some families got. Korea in particular still has a pretty rocky relationship with Japan so they would be a good starting point if you wanted to look into some of the things Japan did under the rising sun flag
Just saying, but the bowing in front of the shrine is a pretty common peaceful praying gesture in Japan. YES, Korea had been victim to Japan historically. And that does make it reasonable for them to dislike this Japanese religious prayer. BUT this gesture itself is NOT in any way promoting violence or war. It's an integral part of the traditional Japanese culture that goes back way further than their conflict with Korea. So it is not offending, IF shown in this context of a Japanese environment. But Korea's and Japan's relationship right now is very tense due to those historic events. That's why naturally, of course some Japanese and Koreans dislike each others cultures and religions. But the Japanese Shintoism shrine prayer itself is NOT a symbol of suppression against Korea. It's just part of their own religion that offends Koreans, because it makes them feel like EA is forcing the Japanese religion onto them. Which they obviously don't like. I understand that they didn't want a religion that they don't support in their game. But I don't want the whole sims community to believe that this Japanese prayer in itself is bad. Because it is not. I understand why EA removed the shrine bowing for Koreans, who have had a bad history with Japan. And I do agree that what Japan did to Korea in the past was terrible, too. But this prayer DID NOT come into existence as result of those terrible events. That Korea wanted this feature gone is just a reflection of Koreas and Japans tension with each other.

@@babyfather419 Probably not but I noticed that she never said Mt. Komorebi’s full name once and at 11:10 it seemed like she sped through the message which is why most of the other town names were pronounced incorrectly which made her mistakes seem careless
Well tbf alot of game changers have struggle with pronunciation so its not that she's disrespectful its just like alot of other myself included s its difficult to pronounce or we aren't aware of how to pronounce it..its like if a Japanese person was to come to America unaware of the American language would you expect them to be respectful and pronounce everything right?
Not being rude but not everyone around the world know how to pronounce things out of the english language just the same as someone who have not got the english language as their first and I'm not trying to be nasty but americans can't even pronounce a good amount english words anyway it's been proven
