I went to Italy with Bobby from @LivingBobby to find the best pizza in the world. Like really, we went to 3 different cities including one tiny town where the best pizzeria in the world (voted best pizza 3 years in a row) is located!
We started our journey in Rome, where I ate Pizza al taglio, which is the Italian pizza slice like the NYC Pizzas. There I tried the best two pizzas to go which are Roscioli and Bonci Pizzarium.
Then I grabbed my bags and Bobby to go to Naples! Naples is the birthplace of pizza and is where people usually go to find the best pizza in the world. We tried street food pizza aka Pizza Portafoglio (which literally means wallet pizza because it's folded in half) for only 2 euros! I think this is one of the cheapest pizzas in the world! Then we went to Da Michele, one of the most famous pizza places world wide. We ate a delicious marinara pizza (my favorite) and Margherita (Bobby's favorite).
After this, we hopped on the train again, because we had dinner reservations to THE best pizzeria in the world called i Masanielli - Francesco Martucci located in Caserta, a small town next to Naples! This was so special because the chef has dedicated his life to pizza and is very creative. It was a very simple and down to earth place and we absolutely loved it!!
If you're still reading this, I appreciate you so much :D

@Lucile Hernandez Rodriguez awesome I'll check it out! I'm not sure if you've seen any of the videos yet I've done but it's worth a look if you like bold bright colors, calming music and amazing designs!
I love it when Bobby joins you 😍
Same, it's so fun to have him on the videos :)
No rating for the last pizza? I’m assuming it’s 10 out of 10. 😊
Yes, it was THE best haha
Such a cool video, Lucille!
Thank you so much for watching :)
Bobby takes the "One Bite everyone knows the rules" to a whole other level. 1 bite = 1 slice gone!
That's why I am extra careful when sharing food with Bobby! haha
Awesome job Lucia thumb up enjoy your Friday
Thank you, you too :)
Thanks
Always a good time for pizza! :D
Always!
Damn,Lucile,I shouldn*t have watched this yummy video at night. Damn,I suddenly began to crave for pizza )
Same!! It was so hard to edit this one without eating haha
BONCI YEAAAAA! I've seen so many interviews with the owner. That dude seems AMAZING ❤ I only know these cause Action Bronson the rapper.
Ohhh yes!! I love the story behind that pizza shop!!
If you are at rome you have to go at l'antico vinaio the make pizza bread sandwitches
I also use mayo on top of mushrooms. Another tip to marinate mushrooms in mayo overnight. And the taste you will never forget. I was told this idea at Sergio's Pizza Factory in Pattaya. But then you lose the Neapolitan pizza status.
I'm normally up for nearly anything you try, but I had a bad experience with anchovies on pizza. Soooooooo, no effin' way for me.
I get you!! They can be too salty sometimes!
J'adore quand tu dis hummm en mangeant ces bonnes pizzas sur un fond de place Saint-Pierre !
haha merci :)
I’m from Chicago. We have a different take on what is “a lot of pizza sauce” 😂
🥰You made me hungry for pizza 😋
same haha :)
The dough cannot taste fresh, it was fermented for 12-48 hours. But it can taste good. Actually flour does not taste much since it's mostly starch. And the yeast smell and taste disappear after baking unless it becomes sourdough. In this case it's even older and not fresher.
great video can you send the pizza to new york ho fame
Nice couple
The best pizza I’ve ever tasted was in Turin !
Lucile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Top Pizza's YUMMMMY 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
It was sooooo gooood :DD
Incidentally, “dough” is the raw version of the “crust”.
I'm a big mayo fan on food, but I've never thought to put it on a pizza, especially before it was cooked. I'm that guy who loves mayo on hot dogs and the like. The best burgers only ever need mayo. The ONLY way I have ever had mayo on pizza is on cold crust.
Yes, same!! I'm a BIG mayo fan (especially if it's homemade!!), and it was my first time eating it on pizza haha
hihi😊😊😊
You made a little mistake with the bonci pizza: that reddish veggies on top of the second one is not radish (ravanello in Italian), but "radicchio", a type of salad with red leaves instead of green ones and a more bitter flavor.
Oh thank you, I am learning Italian and radicchio sounded just like radish to me, thanks for the correction!!
@@LucileHRBeware, there are a lot of these so called "false friends" between English and Italian! 😉
One of the most common is "to annoy", which in Italian is "infastidire, seccare, urtare", while "annoiare" in Italian means "to cause boredom".
ohhhh that's a good one! I also speak French and Spanish so I get to be misled by all these languages too! I always mix assaggiare and provare and it always makes vendors laugh a lot!
Also Bobby called it Mayonnaise does he mean aioli? Is his american showing? Lol jk yall are great 👍
haha it literally said "Ragu mayonnaise" on the menu (Ragu is an Italian meat based sauce)
How come Bobby hasn't made any new videos????
He's working really hard at understanding how to make his next videos the best!! He will be back soon :)
Pizza must be eaten hot! 😉
Gr8🎉
:)
Looks nice but it is a misconception that pizza is truly Italian unfortunately. Italy takes all the credit but just like pasta it's much older.
Da Michele is cheapest and the biggest, and that's where the positives end, the pizza was made sloppily, especially the marinara, everything is dripping with olive oil, the bottom contains burnt remains from the oven, any pizza in Naples with a rating above 4.3 will be better, pizza only ticks off for tourists, no local eats there
BONCI IS ONE OF THE BEST TO MAKE PIZZA TAKE AWAY, BUT NOT TO MAKE NORMAL PIZZA.
Why did you walk there? Why not taxi OR Uber?
this girl knows what she's talking about. good food knowledge. i love Italy, i travelled all over Italy. but the best pizza in the world I ate at La Pratolina in Rome. hands down number one. i'm a masterchef myself and i drive to Italy twice a year
who the hell edit this video
me!! :)
7:06 da Michele does NOT use olive oil for their pizzas. They explicitly use cheap soybean oil because they claim the neutral flavor doesn't get in the way of tasting the other ingredients such as the tomato sauce and cheese. But it's just a cynical a cost-cutting measure. They don't even use more dough or sauce or toppings for their pizzas. They just stretch and bake them thinner to give a visual appearance of a larger pizza and thus more value for dollar. They are a tourist trap, taking advantage of their popularity from the "Eat, Pray, Love" movie for decades at this point. I can't understand why this place still shows up on "best of" lists in 2023. You could walk into any local pizzeria in Naples and find better Neapolitan pizza in 9/10 of them compared to this place.
Best Pizza on Rome? They don’t even know what Pizza is.. Napoli is the only Best One!!
@@dans1328 LMFAO you trolls are hilarious
@@walter_the_danger No problem I'm glad to make you laugh. It is true, when you study food culture, 2 of the key elements of pizza are taken from countries outside of Italy which were already long established.
@@dans1328 ok troll keep talking I'm gonna keep laughing
@@dans1328 please, stop trying to bait me clown, no one gives a shit where the main ingredients are from
@@walter_the_danger are you still laughing? Or did you decide to check out some culinary history? It seems you dont know why you laugh so.
