    Is this seat safer than their platinum pro? Is it just the easier installation thats the difference?

    • @BabyVillageTV
      @BabyVillageTV  4 года назад

      Hi 👋🏻Great question - in addition to the ClickTight installation which is designed to be safer as well as easier, there are 2 additional key safety features: deployable SICT (the little arms that screw out towards the door side of the car seat) and an enclosed outer shell providing greater overall (including torso) protection (with ventilated back for optimal airflow). Hope that helps ;)

    Can this seat be tethered to the back on the passenger/driver seat when rear facing or does it need to be tethered to the boot of the car?

    • @BabyVillageTV
      @BabyVillageTV  3 года назад

      Hi Tegan, when installed on the rear seat of a vehicle the top tether will anchor into the boot of the car, each model will have different anchorage points. If you need assistance, I suggest you find a local professional installer 👍🏻

      @@BabyVillageTV so there’s no way to avoid having the tether straps in the way really? I have anchor points in my boot but also have a tether point hoop attached to both my front seats which I use with our current seats 🤔

      @@tegangrindlay2613 Hi, the top tether is an essential safety feature of the seat; if you’re unsure of the correct installation position, please visit a local fitter or send us photo/video to service@babyvillage.com.au so we can better advise you.

      After purchasing this seat, we discovered its not compatible to ISO standards or our vehicle. We have tried two brand new versions of the Britax Safe-n-Sound B-First seat, both were professionally installed. The first seat had a faulty seat belt latch, causing the car seat to move dramatically. This was unaccpetable. The second seat again, was unstable upon professional installation. Due the standard of design not being compatible with our car / European vehicles. This was raised with Britax and the retailer whom we purchased the seat from, as with the installer. Britax Engineers informed the retail staff that they could not confirm this carseat is compatible with European Cars and specifically our Volvo XC40 2020 model. Britax further said it is not up to ISO Standards, only Australian Standards. This is a terrible seat if you have a Volvo car or likely any European model. Friends who have an XC90 Volvo informed us that they have had the same experience, that the carseat was not stable and also switched brands. Simply put the design does not work, beware if you have a volvo, get an ISO Fix seat instead, and one that is upto ISO Standards.

    Hey there, I have installed our B-First but it sort of slides a bit on the seat. There is tension with the seat belt and from the anchor point as well but the base part that closest to the front of the back seat (where the adults legs are) just doesn't seem to be a tight fit. I have a Kia Sportage with leather seats, does the leather make a difference, should I do something to make the base more grippy?

      Hi Kyle, I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with your selection. I'm not sure which retailer you visited or which installer you used, but the B-First has been designed specifically *not* to use ISO Fix anchor technology, and instead use a different technology called "Click Tight" which requires the use of the seatbelt instead (this is no less safe). I have reached out to Britax directly for comment as well, as this should have been explained to you clearly. For reference, other seats in the Britax range for example Millenia & Graphene, do use the ISO 13216 anchoring system which is a global standard. If you'd like to discuss further please email service@babyvillage.com.au or call 0293873555. Thanks BV x
