So excited! I definitely recommend exploring. There’s some interesting, even creepy things going on. Also, the game picks up around ch. 4! It can be a slow start but so worth it!
Glad you're playing this. Yes, it's "slow-paced" and a LOT of traveling. But Wow the things you'll see and do while traveling are incredible. Also, also, I have "driving" mechanics too. I.E. I haven't really been interested in playing this myself for whatever reason, but I dropped everything I was doing to sit here and watch you play. I mean, I even closed Vampire Survivors to watch, and that game plays itself. Still have an hour to go on the vid, but it's been very interesting so far! Thanks for the upload John and you bet I'll be here for the 80 hours of main story gameplay lmao
So glad you’re playing this! I’ve always thought the game was compelling to watch but couldnt find someone I really wanted to see play the whole story - I think your style of gameplay is going to finally scratch that itch for me. Hope you have fun with it!!
One of my favorite works of art out there, it fills almost every niche I have, slow-burn, top tier animations, etc. It was really ballsy of Rockstar to release an open-world game that doesn't feature constant moment-to-moment action with cluttered icons everywhere on the map. Like most open world titles I've played these days.
So excited to see you playing this, John! The Red Dead series is my absolute favorite! RDR 1 was the first game I ever actively tried to 100%, RDR 2 is even better in my opinion.
was soooo excited for you to be playing this. you prob know by now or other ppl will say but light tap down dpad for objectives and you dont have to worry about survival Too much but arthur gets different perks depending on how much you eat. You SHOULD feed your horse though 😂 that's important. ia about the car gameplay thing but its significantly less stressful past the tutorial chapter IMO. they keep you on a rail to really get you used to those controls. super hype 🎉🎉 great first ep!!
oh i wanted to say too, i think THIS song is fine, but the songs at the end of the game might need to be edited around. theyre the only ones I have seen give ppl trouble. trying to share with no spoils but it'll be obvious when you hear them. and they're *hours* away
Hell yeah! This is one of the best games that I've ever played. I love Rockstar Games for their storytelling. I'm looking forward to seeing your playthrough! ❤

I've glimpsed bits and pieces of this game over the years from watching my husband play
even with just that I felt really attached to the characters and story, I'm really looking forward to seeing it in full from your playthrough
it's genuinely a masterpiece of a game, I hope you enjoy playing!
As a horse girl I cannot fathom how you could not know which horse is yours. It's your horse! And they're all so different!
NO WAY. I was just thinking about how badly i wanted to see you play this yesterday. WWWWWWWW
So glad you’re playing this! I’ve always thought the game was compelling to watch but couldnt find someone I really wanted to see play the whole story - I think your style of gameplay is going to finally scratch that itch for me. Hope you have fun with it!!
Me and my husband have been waiting so excitedly for you to play this!!! We both screamed when we saw the notification. 😭❤️
This is so cool. I never played the base game, just online.. and the horses themselves are a joy to just ride round on. I'm excited to see this.
my favorite youtuber playing my favorite game! definitely so worth the hours, so excited to watch you play through this masterpiece🤞
john i cannot believe how savagely you just attacked charles. have some couth. some decorum.
So glad you’re playing through this John, it’s my all time favorite. I hope you enjoy it!
STOP THIS IS EVERYTHING I EVER NEEDED
so looking forward to the rest of this! i'd def recommend enabling the names in the subtitles section !!
So so excited for this! I too tried to play the original Red Dead Redemption but the controls were hard for a newbie (at the time) and only got halfway through.
Oh my god, this is one of my favorite games and I am so glad to see you giving it a shot! Even if you don't finish it on the channel, it is so worth a playthrough. I was a big fan of the OG RDR, but this one blew that one out of the water. Arthur is a fantastic character! I hope you have fun with it.
I love your western reading voice, John; especially with how you seem to enjoy it. It makes an already entertaining video even better :)
Absolutely decimating Charles by lightly brushing against him with the horse was hilarious! Hell of a first episode, enjoying it.
Loved this! I'm excited to see what cool shots John will get in cinema mode
Hardest part of the game is definitely trying to get equiptment off your horse inventory. So glad to see you playing this in 2024! I played RDR2 for the first time this year too, and both the main story and side missions will stick with me forever. Hope you enjoy this wonder of a game!
