New subscriber to your channel. Thank you for explaining techniques, giving examples of how a Kawandi piece could be used. I especially love the prayer aspect. Tfs
Very pretty
I just discovered your videos.. watched the first in bed this morning in the dark.. three puppies at my side. Through my headphones came the rooster in my left ear lol 😳 what?? Lol took me a minute to realize it was yours. Caught me again when awake.. sitting in the front room.. still early enough that my birds haven’t yet woken up.. and that rooster again lol I think next time I’ll be expecting it lol
Sorry, Mr. Mister just wanted to say GOOD MORNING! I have lots of shorts on my channel showing Mr. Mister and his girls. Thanks for watching, Gehbar!
I like chickens.. I’ve had quail and many pigeons… leading into many tropical birds.. Bird sounds are a norm for me. Probably why it hit so hard to have the different call.. wait!!! Where’s that one!!! Sort of reaction. lol looking forward to seeing your birds lol
I don’t think I have the patience. Lol. Nice project
I didn't think I would either but now I love doing handwork again. I have a video on doing Kawandi by machine if you are interested. Thanks for watching, Aquahoma!
Thank you so much! I am left handed and it's refreshing to have explanation that is real to my brain. Thanks again so very much 😊
I'm so glad my video helped you out, Carol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching, Ann! 🥰
I too have become enamored of Kawandi….thanks for your tutorial! Well done.
Thank you for watching, Carol. This is such a fun technique, I just love it!
I like your chicken, and Bible verse.
🐓✝️
Thanks for watching, Debra! God bless!
@70acres God bless you too. 🙏 I love to see people acknowledge God in their every day lives, and businesses.
Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
This is for me, I love this! You taught this so well! Actually seeing it sewn by hand and your instructions and suggestions, covered all the questions I had. Pat Mr Dinky's head from me. 😺❤Thank you so much for this tutorial! ❤
Thank you so much for watching and leaving your sweet comment, Bonnie! I'm so glad this video helped you! Have fun doing this. Mr. Dinky says Hi back! 🥰😽
Really great way of making.
Nice and clear tutorial.Thanks.
Thanks for watching, Ramesh!
I made a blanket from scratch. I used several large pieces of flannel for the backing and no batting. It is a great way to use up scraps and embroidery thread. I enjoy hand stitching.
That sounds lovely, Cleo! I think the no-batting method makes such a wonderful summer quilt. I plan on doing more of them. Thanks for watching!
Great instructions. It is fun to see some of my scraps in yours.
I love seeing parts of my stash in other's projects too. Thanks for watching, Carolen!
How beautiful. Thank you so much for the lesson.
Thanks for watching, Deborah, I hope you give this a try, it is a lot of fun.
So glad I came across your demo. I’ve been wanting to do this but didn’t have many scraps. Just ordered a kit. I’m also a lefty & it’s great to watch a left handed demo. God bless!
Barbara, thank you so much for your order! It will be going out on Monday morning. Thank you for watching, commenting and ordering! I'll be doing more quilting techniques from India soon. Hubby is from there and I've got Boro/Kantha on my project list.
that is so pretty i am going to try this with all my scraps thank you for showing this
Thanks for watching, Deborah! I hope you have fun!
I love your instructions! I am a brand new subscriber! I’m glad I found you!
Hi Artsygal! I'm glad you found me too! Thanks for watching and subscribing!🥰💕
I really like the hand stitching. I want a kit. Will hope there are some left. Thanks Melissa for your help and expertise in quilting. Bless you!❤😊
Thank you so much for watching, Kathy! 🥰
Great, I ❤ it, thank you so much for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching, Amal! 🥰💕
Beautiful work! I don’t think I’d use it on the table either. I wouldn’t want to see it get stained with food. Besides I’m thinking the extra batting or insulbrite would make it too hard to hand sew.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Sharon! I liked this thickness but yes, more batting or thinsulate would have been too hard to hand stitch. I hung it on a wall.
Good idea Melissa. I have a huge fabric stash and almost every colour of DMC floss that is made, so don’t need a kit though.
Thanks for watching, Kelley! I hope you have fun with this!
I love that❤
Thanks for watching, Catherine!🥰✝️
Very nice
Thanks for wt, Lynda!
Love this series, so happy to see appropriate time taken to show and extol some of benefits and joys of hand quilting and sewing. One prob - I’ve subscribed but 1)No bell appeared 2)I’ve never received a notice of a new release. Please help?
Thank you for watching and subscribing. If you are watching on a TV, that may be the problem. Go to my channel on a phone or computer and then you will see the bell. I hope that helps.
I’ve seen white flannel used for the inside instead of batting. It might make it easier to sew? Thought you might like this idea. 😊 Beautiful work 💕love your ideas.
Thanks for watching, Pennie! Yes, flannel would be lovely!
This is so beautiful and brought such a smile to my face. ❤😊 I will definitely be checking your shop to see if you happen to have a floral kit there. It would make the perfect Christmas present for my mother-in-law! My carpal tunnel hands will need all the time they can get to make it before the holiday. Lol 😂
Hi Amber, thanks for watching! I only have scrappy kits right now. If these sell, I’ll start doing different themes but I can’t afford to buy a large amount of themed fabrics until these sell.
@@70acres I completely understand. Buying all that fabric can be expensive! I still may consider buying a kit just for the fun of the project. 🙂
@@ambermyers4256 Darlin, I know money is tight, don't put yourself out if you don't have it in the budget. God bless and thank you for being here.
What size is the needle. I have never seen this hobby before. Looks like fun
@@susanpeterson8433 I used the largest needle out of a DMC Embroidery "N 1-5" needle pack. It had 12 needles in it. The size of the needle is not as important as the size of the eye. I'm thinking a thinner needle with a large eye would have been a better choice. Thanks for watching, Susan!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm in the middle of a small one and the batting is bulging a little. I'll cut it as you demoed. The backing is also unstable and I have some folds. Did you have this happen? I wonder if spray basting might help with this. I'm a lefty too!
I found that working on the table kept the backing tuck free. It remained nice and flat for me. Thanks for watching, Luraal.
What is the name of the place you purchased your scraps please
Sew Yeah Quilting. They have live RUclips videos every Tuesday and Saturday evening. They don't always have scrap bags but I do try and grab them when they have them. www.youtube.com/@SewYeah Thanks for watching, Becky!
How can l order a kit
Hi Veronica, here is the link to my shop: ko-fi.com/s/30430b268b
I'm lefthanded too. I did something called shashiko like this. Also Manx is very similar
Hi Lynda, thanks for watching. There are several similar techniques and I love them all.
