As someone getting back into skating for the first time in about 20 years, your information is so epic!
I wish I lived closer to come have a look in the shop and not a 25 hour flight away 😂

Thanks for the tip on the buckle lace it really helped with my skates believe they are classed as hockey skates and don’t come with clasps so find it hard to tighten but after I did the buckle lase it was amazing how much it improved so I added 2 laces per boot so I can tighten lower and top to different needs as got big legs but narrow feet

Also worth mentioning, Ive seen enough of these guides to say with certainty that Ivo has this special charm the way he talks and looks, totally friendly and trustworthy that I want to buy more skates just from watching these videos.
Good thing I dont live in Netherlands or my wallet would've been in danger

I really want to know what the community thinks.
Please create a yt poll and ask this yes or no question:
Do you agree that waxed laces and a specific tightening technique could completely replace the function of a 45° buckle?

Thank you so much for the amazing and useful information on ways you can upgrade and modify your skates. I have Flying Eagle skates and FR skates that I want to change the parts like the frames and liners. I will definitely use your website for research and get the proper parts for my skates. Keep up the great work!🙏

Great video, especially the end part about part finder. Gonna try it now.
Do you recommend insoles for carbon skates ? I own PS Hardcore Evo and been wondering if I should get insoles for a while now.

every skate should have a good insole for sure. It makes all skating better.

Hi Ivo and community! I’m switching from roller skates to inline skates and am trying to figure out what freestyle skate would be upgradeable for me to be able to switch from freestyle frame to aggressive frame. My foot size is UK 38, US size 6 in women and on the wide foot side. What skate would you guys recommend? I’m having a hard time figuring out after watching your videos since I’m considering changing frames to try aggressive. I’m hoping to further build up my skills on freestyle skates and eventually after building up my base/foundation to try aggressive skating through the frame to stay in budget since I’m still a college student.
For context, I’ve been roller skating for 2 years and would use them at the skatepark until I stopped since my skates weren’t built for it (I injured myself because of it), but I built up my ankle strength and balance that I can ice skate (I have hockey ice skates) and roller blade now having tried rentals at my local rink. I bring this up since before when I tried rollerblades I didn’t have the ankle strength to not allow my ankles to cave in to be straight on top if that makes sense, so it was really painful and I couldn’t even stand or balance on one foot. Now I could comfortably skate on the rental blades I tried at my local rink, crossovers felt easier for me to do than when I would use my roller skates.
And I think I saw Eric pass by 6 times lol

Hi everyone! I saw Eric passing by 5 (five) times at: 6:17, 7:57, 13:45, 14:14 and 15:58. He appears again in the video at 17:35 but he doesn't pass by, he was already sitting... 🙂 Greetings to everyone! 🙏

Seriously the lower buckle made my legs hurt on both powerslide skates I have, even though they are different sizes, buckle makes it too stiff and rigid. One of older videos where Ivo showed his powerslide skates he told about laces trick (that I also use on sneakers btw) and that was much more comfortable, partly because the lace tight spot is a bit higer than buckle.
Sure it takes more time to lace it well and tuck all the laces than just quickly pull in the buckle but my legs feel super comfy, can skate all day and skates look much nicer without that buckle. on second pair I repurposed velcro straps at the same spot I tighten laces but somehow it also feels a bit off compared to laces (but its much faster to put skates on/off which second pair is for).
I think its because laces are connected throughout whole shoe and can move slightly remaining tight but at the same time not creating pressure spots.
So I would recommend Ivo preaching his lace method at every opportunity he has, at least for Powerslide Next skates, people need to know

    • @Thisissoul
      @Thisissoul  5 месяцев назад

thanks! that lacing technique works so good!

For the insoles, 2 questions :
1 - if the concern is more about some small pain when skating for extended times than only power transfer is there some other insoles more suitable ?
(Noticed superfeet also have a "Hockey Cushion" insole, for example)
2 - I have discussed with some people putting the insole inside the liner, and some others below the liner. So is there a big difference or are both ok ?
(Also, the 'insole' in my powerslide Next skates, was below the liner by default)

    • @Thisissoul
      @Thisissoul  6 месяцев назад

1, also for powertransfer the foot works the best if it is in this position with a hard heelcup.
2, An insole is supposed to go IN the liner. the idea for underneath the liner is specifically for intuition liners so that the fabrics on all sides of the foot are the same foam. This however does not give the best performance.
      3. If the insole of your ps next was underneath the liner then something was wrong there. We have hundreds of ps next here in our store and all the insoles there are in the liner, not underneath

      @@Thisissoul Thanks for your answers.
1-2, thanks I'll follow that then.
3, English isn't my first language, so I checked around and I think I made a mistake, apparently the piece I was thinking of, was refered as a Footbed/Footbed-liner by some others, the piece with a small heel-raise. And yeah, I didn't really know those are different from insoles ? (Same thing/word in my language)
(Found the information with pictures showing the piece, on a "Reducing heel lift in Powerslide Next boots" reddit post.)
      My apologies for that mistake.
      Have a nice day.

Watch tv tiolet paper them of away from the entrance.
If there good add 3 drops of oil spin bearing in hand take exces off with toilet paper.
If bearings are not that good use lots oil and spin while spinning let dirt come out with oil and oil again.
Fuck citric cleaning etc to much work this 30min good 60 min bad.
