I love this! If Meiko had adjusted her grip on the sword, it would have been perfect! It's like holding a tennis racket. You have to tilt your grip as you swing it. If you swing forwards, towards your right as the sword starts on your left, tilt you grip forwards(Knuckles almost pointing down). If you swing forwards, towards your left with the sword flat, tilt your grip upside down, wrist flat and knuckles pointing down, with your forefinger slightly higher, tilting the sword up ever so slightly. Pull your arm further away from your body as well. Makes for a more natural looking swing. I only know this because I have swords of my own. My father's dress swords from his time as a Marine are great to practice swinging and your grip. Other than that, it was perfect!
