Its absolutely amazing although i lived-in 1986 it seems like a dream ....a dream i want to go back to...the most amazing time to be alive regardless of what we have today
When our grandparents used to tell us: - It was better in youth! I didn't believe them... Well we ended up saying the same thing, YES those were dream times back then in the 80's, we attended parties in the mountains and at the sea where the music was coming from these booboxes all we needed was more batteries.
Pleasant childhood memories with the Sears catalog were fondly remembered by many visitors to my channel, and I wonder what our children will remember years from now...?
Things were certainly better back then, a real catalog with pages versus a screen. cool looking devices and things that seemed to last forever made in the UK or Germany or the States.
When I think they didn't have 30 mega pixel cameras and the product presentation is amazing, what teams of photographers they had back then, the description and picture makes you immediately order any product.

Yes!! There are some models with a body made of a very solid fiber plastic that is no longer manufactured today, and then in the 80s you had the joy of touching chrome keys, which are also no longer manufactured today.
@@OLDBUTGOOD Yes ! Better plastic, moulded in Japan . Tactile joy, yes! And in the mid -80s it seemed you could have any colour as long as it was red. With lots 'o Chrome. In the 90s black was 'In' and no more red. Double taping was the Max!!

Growing up in the early 80s was the best of the best, as boomboxes came along, 80s music, Most houses to to even run catalogues, live Empire Stores, Littlewoods, always used to turn to the back when looking as the toys used to be at the back, middle these stereos as to Ghettoblaster we used to call them, as the best makes then was, Kenwood, Sony, Technics, Panasonic, Saisho, Hitachi , JVC, Rubbish was ALBA, BUSH, GOODMANS FIDELITY, AMSTRAD, and might look great for looks, but crap for quality was AIWA, but look at it today, lost the plot of too much streaming and online. bike radios as the internet has killed who yesterday was like, But things today without looking in catalogues, don't actually look the same when you buy today, now its all online rubbish with no privacy, kids today have missed out and being fed with AI propaganda crap,
Let's not forget to include the Elta and Thomson brands in the trash and if the internet goes down tomorrow you won't be able to listen to any radio station or access anything online music or podcasts and we will see these repercussions in our children in a few years who have the trauma of internet addiction, although some are already stuck in AI now.

I miss cassette players or boomboxes. The ones made today are pieces of crap and the very few good ones are horribly rounded shape like fkin eggs.
The teams of good designers only exist in 80s, and the result of the "boombox" now is some firecrackers in the form of balls.
