Glenn robins who is in this is a well known actor and as you know done several characters including Russell Coight over the year, around 1989 he done a character called Uncle Arthur in a show called The Comedy Company
Rob, you did what you needed to for your beloved cat. That’s our responsibility when we take a pet into our heart. Glad you liked the Angels - The lyrics are amazing with or without the added refrain. Aussie pub music that never diminishes with time💕.
Just loved the whole series of Upper Middle Bogun. So happy you are enjoying it too. And again the incomparable Glenn Robbins there doing his brilliant work as Bess' motor racing mad , 'real' Dad.
We had to put our cat Swiper to sleep last year, he was 16 years old, I was a total mess. He was with us from Newcastle to Sydney, then a couple of years in Perth and back to Newcastle again, for a cat he saw the world pretty much.
I hear you Mate and it’s a tough ferking thing to go through , I had Paco the burmilla up in Cairns Qld for almost as long & went through the same wrenching mess. Cats put that spell on you after you gain their initial trust , and they end up becoming everything. I’m sure you gave Swiper 16 great years that he probably wouldn’t have had otherwise , so you did a great job good luck to you mate.
Sympathies to you, my kitty passed a few years ago and I still cry about it every day. They love us unconditionally, which is the greatest gift we could ever hope for.🤗
You might get into Librarians or Very Small Business, from the same writers/ producers of Upper Middle Bogan. Would love to see your reaction to Don's Dirty Dog Wash franchise commercial.
Rob, T lived near a place where they held wedding receptions and this was a song they sung repeatedly, the crowd did not know all the words but when the words “ no way, get F, F off came on ,they were sung with much gusto by everybody. Sorry about your cat.
There is a song with a similar treatment, Smokey's Living next door to Alice, by Gompie where the answer is Who the fuck is Alice, this nice soloist was playing it at s pub and the whole place answered and she stopped singing it the second time, never heard it sung again.
So glad you have discovered our wonderful Upper Middle Bogan series...especially as you are having such a painful time grieving...all the very best💟💝💔💝
It is a great series. You would also like The Moodys, another great character family series which includes the actor playing Edwina's dad in one of the lead roles.
Is that a spec of dust in my eye 😢 UMB has beautiful pathos with ridiculous humour to touching sentiment. All the best to you and Charlie Rob. To quote the guru, “The only way out is in”.
I was getting emotional! It really is such a great show. It was issues that the characters face but its not as obvious as other shows but thats perfect
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you were able to get some comfort and joy. Thank you so much for still putting out a video during this time!!!!! We would have all understood if you needed time off. I hope you and Charlie are taking care of yourselves ❤️
My friends and I won an Oz national competition in the late 80s for the Angels to play at our school. We didn't ask the school for permission, no health and safety or permission slips back then!. To win we had to make these postcard things, so stayed up all night doing that, and dropped bags and bags of them off at the radio station to win easily. If you can imagine the Angels playing this song to around 2000 public school kids in a school hall to fit 1000 max, speakers stacked to the ceiling, very sweaty and singing these lyrics... I am sure the teachers enjoyed it too :) We were all half deaf afterwards. Best thing ever. Some of the video from it is in their music video online, us in our lovely grey sack uniforms.

Funny story! In my Uncles disability group most have been disabled their whole life. One guys disabilities were from a car accident when he was 20, so he had his party/pub experiences. Together we sang this song at karaoke and his Mum warned him not to swear because there were a lot of elderly people there. It came out "No way get ffffd...nick off" 😅 Almost!!! We all ended up in stitches! You can't get away from that anthem here, it's played at every backyard party!!!!
Love UMB. Cos sooo much of it is actually my upbringing. Gumbuya Park (where they 1st meet, with the huge Golden Pheasant) was a family outing and yes we’d met near the BBQ’s (someone was designated to arrive early and get a BBQ and table), the cars are all so similar, I drive a Crewman, lol. Have driven on and dragged at Calder park raceway, where the hot lap and drags occur. Learnt to water ski where they blew up the boat.
Another Send up of this Song is "Am I ever Gonna See the Biff Again" by a character called Reg Reagan from the Nrl Footy Show in Sydney , another Great show back in the Noughties. The " Biff " references the fights and Brawls from the Football Players back in the 1970s to 1990's which is frowned upon these days. The guys from the Angels are playing in it as well
''No Way, Get Fucked, Fuck Off'' Great audience lyrics to a great Aussie song,. The Angels were legends and their songs still live on, Doc Neeson R.I.P. Keep up the good work.......

I (an Aussie) once went to an 80s/90s music cover night with 3 friends - all of them moved to Australia as adults. As soon as the crowd did "the" line from Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, they all stared at me. Their expressions were all "what the fuck is that?"
If you want to see some truly oddball Aussie comedy as a cure for feeling low, can I suggest "Danger 5". I relied on re-watching this series (from 2011-15) to get me through the lock downs
I am so sad to here of your beloved cat passing sending my deepest condolences to you and your family 💞 watching this series helped me alot too when I was in a dark place in life and needed a little cheer up hope you are all doing okay so much love from my family and I in Tascot NSW Australia 🌏🦘
Another great Aussie comedy is Utopia (Though Google says internationally its called Dreamland). Its centred around working for government (as a person who works for government it is basically a documentary)
Deepest sympathy on your loss - my wife and I went through similar a few years ago with our first cat, Schrödinger. On a brighter note, I have fond memories of 300+ students shouting the response to this song at a school dance, while the teachers laughed…
So sorry to hear about your beloved puss, I know it hurts like hell. I once read something along the lines of our fur babies being quite cheap for us to acquire because we end up paying oh SO dearly when they leave us. Will give my fur monster extra big hugs tonight and think of your family.
Sorry to hear of Joey. I recently lost my beautiful staffy (10 days ago). I’m devastated but UMB looks like a good distraction. I’ll binge watch if I can find it.
I wonder how many people got funny looks from relatives as they sang along with this video!?!? Chanting - No way, get lost, fuck off - over and over!! :D
This is version is actually more aligned with the original intention of the song which was a ballad. Doc Neesan recorded an acoustic version of the ballad.
I sympathise with you both for the hard decision you have had to make this week. Never easy. However, seeing how much you appreciate UMB has brought a huge smile to my face. You do know you are an honorary Aussie, don't you?
@@RobReacts1 yeah I know. I’ve had to do it 3 times now. 2 cats and a dog. It’s awful. I promise though, that as time goes on you let go of the memory of the decision and the end, and start to remember good times. It takes a while though. I’m glad you have each other for support. That will help. I’ve been the only human here each time which really amplifies the quiet. I have managed to always have some overlap with the older one and a younger sibling for them though so the younger one has helped me cope each time. I also seem to alternate cats and dogs as it takes me a long time to be ready to add another after I’ve lost one, but if I get the other species it’s easier. It’s 16 months now since I lost my dog. I have a younger dog and he needs a sibling, but I’m not ready to add another dog yet so I’ll add a cat soon. It’s 3 years since I lost my cat so I’m ready for another one now. I’m planning a move soon so am just waiting until I’ve settled into the new house, then a cat will be at the top of my list. Another dog is probably about 2 years away.
So sorry and sad to hear your bad news Rob. It. is never good to have to do that. My thoughts are with you all! Ha Ha. I've never seen this, but there is Russel Coight (Glenn Robbins) 05:25 making an appearance YET AGAIN!!! LOL Love it!
I’m sorry for you both loosing your mate. Our pets become much loved members of our family. I lost my spoodle after 15 years, in April. I still look for her. I also had to make the decision to have her put down, she was suffering and I could not allow that. It hurts but you know you did the right thing. I miss her terribly, it’s so lonely without her.
No Rob, they don’t. They don’t know what they are missing either. My dog Lolly saved my life, she kept licking my foot. After a week or two I noticed a spot. It was a melanoma and caught just in time. It broke my heart I could not save her in the end. But I did save her suffering.
We usually sing, "Am I going to see your face again?" "No way - eff off" 😁 Kath and Kim is hilarious, they've been showing highlights this week. Also have a look at "Russel Coight" 😁
You never get over the loss of one fur baby, but then I went to the pound and a new kitten adopted me immediately, it was the day Carrie Fisher died, so we called her Leia. She filled a void. Following year I lost both dogs and remaining cat to old age and cancer. Traumatic. We live for our babies.
hey rob. Loosing a cat is such a hard thing to go through. I know how you feel and just remember all the quality time you spent with them before their passing.
I’ve never watched Upper Middle Bogan, shame on me lol, but when you said “that boy” in grey top in audience, I recognised him immediately , real name Dougie Baldwin. He was in a TV series here in Melbourne called Nowhere Boys, shot at my local shops, and local high school, the locals had a great time. The crew were great and friendly and the 4 boys in the series, were also up for a chat when waiting for a scene. Must have another look as that women he’s sitting next to, his Aunt I think u said, she may have been in Nowhere Boys as well, couldn’t see her properly. Guess I should watch Upper Middle Bogan , looks hysterical 😁👍
Yep! That's Michala Banas. She played the 'witch' character who ran the alternative store, and who's sister disappeared into the alternate universe. Depending on your age, you might also know her from a show in the 2000s called Always Greener, or mid 2000s on McLeod's Daughters.
@@vincentlevarrick6557 ta, I thought it was Michala, on my iPhone here, small, couldn’t see here clearly. Yes I watched every episode of Nowhere Boys as I lived local near the shops scenes. It was great watching them film it. We’d park our cars and still shop. Crew were funny and said to the boys I was a fan, omg, I was in my 50s, so embarrassing lol, boys said hi and smiled and looked at me as if I was a total old lady dork lol. Yes I watched McLeod’s daughter, great series, thoroughly enjoyed it, but I’ve never heard of the other one you mentioned, must check it out . Tony Ayres was a writer or producer on Nowhere Boys, he also created the TV series Glitch, that was wonderfully unusual if you haven’t watched that one.

Thank you! It really was just what we needed
My friends and I partied bloody hard at the Commodore in Sandringham to this LIVE!!! Shit I'm old!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha cheers Ausgranny 🇦🇺🇦🇺
A classic Aussie song growing up!!
So sorry to learn of your loss. I think we have all been there. Wishing you all the best, Tony.
Desperately sad and it wont be the last time
Now you know what the seagull Meme in Aussie Meme Part 1 was referencing.
Another great Aussie comedy is Utopia (Though Google says internationally its called Dreamland). Its centred around working for government (as a person who works for government it is basically a documentary)
Deepest sympathy on your loss - my wife and I went through similar a few years ago with our first cat, Schrödinger.
On a brighter note, I have fond memories of 300+ students shouting the response to this song at a school dance, while the teachers laughed…
haha! Its a real crowd pleaser
Sorry to hear about your sweet boy. That's not an easy situation. I hope you're both taking care of yourselves and each other
So sorry to hear about your beloved puss, I know it hurts like hell.
I once read something along the lines of our fur babies being quite cheap for us to acquire because we end up paying oh SO dearly when they leave us. Will give my fur monster extra big hugs tonight and think of your family.
Sorry to hear about your kitty. My old girl died a couple of months ago at 15 years old. It still hurts. ❤️ Glad some Aussie humour could help. 😊
I think the late great Doc Neeson would love this 😂👍
Absolutely love Upper Middle Bogun
Such a shame it's only 3 series
All I hear “bring back, bring back the biff”. Ahh if you know, you know.
So sorry to yourself and Charlie for your loss ...good to see you smiling through the pain though. She'll be right mate
Sorry to hear of Joey. I recently lost my beautiful staffy (10 days ago). I’m devastated but UMB looks like a good distraction. I’ll binge watch if I can find it.
glad we both watch UMB to put a little smile on our faces
I wonder how many people got funny looks from relatives as they sang along with this video!?!?
Chanting - No way, get lost, fuck off - over and over!! :D
This is version is actually more aligned with the original intention of the song which was a ballad. Doc Neesan recorded an acoustic version of the ballad.
I sympathise with you both for the hard decision you have had to make this week. Never easy. However, seeing how much you appreciate UMB has brought a huge smile to my face. You do know you are an honorary Aussie, don't you?
yea was hardest thing we have had to do! this show came at the right time for us! haha I need to visit first
Hahaha I love this show such a crack up. Glenn Robins is a legend
so sad to hear that news mate... glad the clip helped put a smile on your face...
it's been tough and glad this was available!
That had me in tears. RIP Doc Neeson
I'm so sorry about you're beloved cat mate. I love your reaction vids. Cheers and keep strong.
Sorry to hear that mate glad you found something to lift the spirit😉
Gold.
A friend of mine had this (angels version) playing as the final song at her funeral. Typical of her sense of humour.
what a brilliant idea
I’m so sorry about Joey. It’s so hard when their time comes. Glad you found something to take your mind off it a bit. Big hugs to both of you.
Thanks Monique. Hardest decision we have had to make for sure
My condolences to you and Charlie - it is always hard having to make that decision. My thoughts are with you both x
thank you Margaret 😊
So sorry and sad to hear your bad news Rob. It. is never good to have to do that. My thoughts are with you all!
Ha Ha. I've never seen this, but there is Russel Coight (Glenn Robbins) 05:25 making an appearance YET AGAIN!!! LOL Love it!
he's the grandpa
Glenn Robbins being in it was partially why i decided to watch it
@@RobReacts1 🤣🤣🤣
I’m sorry for you both loosing your mate. Our pets become much loved members of our family. I lost my spoodle after 15 years, in April. I still look for her. I also had to make the decision to have her put down, she was suffering and I could not allow that. It hurts but you know you did the right thing. I miss her terribly, it’s so lonely without her.
Its a real hole that is left. Non pet owners just dont understand
That was great, can certainly relate to all of it! 👍 (I can play a Bach cd any day!) Sorry about your cat! 😪
Yes you must now! Its on ABC over there i think
@@RobReacts1 yeah I’ve heard of it, don’t know why I didn’t watch it. Will check it out, know most of the actors from other TV series here in Aus.
G'day Rob, another Aussie show you might like is "Swift and Shift Couriers". Very funny. Michael from Straya....slang for Australia.
I gotta admit that I'm impressed by the kid singing Gilbert & Sullivan.
So sorry for your loss. ❤️
My cat is a great home companion and I’ll be devastated when I eventually have to put him down. Hope you find get cheered up soon.
Hope you going ok mate love these shows of yours ,,well for a Pom!!! hehe
haha I will take that!
