The plaintiff buys a house that had no garage, she wants a garage, got one for 1/5 of the price and she still sues the defendant to pay for a garage ? Insane.
This is an ugly case of pure unadulterated greed. They ended up getting a $27k converted garage for $5k and still comes after the defendant in order to put another $10k in their pockets. Shame on them.
Right?! I get it if they got screwed and had to pay a lot more out of pocket. But they ended up only paying , what, a little over $4,000 for a freaking $30,000 job?? They scored! If that was me I wouldn’t have even sued him for back taxes. I don’t know if they’re honestly confused or if they’re just greedy.
