Great video! One of the better tours of Motorcycle Live I've watched! Really enjoy hearing your opinions and thoughts on bikes, you produce excellent depth in your videos. Plus you have a very similar appreciation as myself in motorcycles, lover if the classics and classic looking models, but very appreciative of some newer tech at the same time. Keep up the great work!!
@@michaelmam I also own a z900rs like yourself and couldn't agree more. The modern tech and reliability is excellent! Hope to see some more footage of your yellow ball soon. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia!
I went to the show on Saturday and really enjoyed it. My favourite bike was the zx4rr. I find that bike really intriguing. Another great video, thanks for sharing.
Managed to spot myself filming on the BMW stand as you were filming the M sport bikes. Was an interesting show but a shame there were no Guzzi, Aprilia or Harley on show.
I went to the bike show on Tuesday and enjoyed it more than any recent show. Agree with many of your choices, especially the RE's, and the big Suzuki Hayabusa. For me though the stand out bike was the BMW R18 touring. What a machine...
I guess you could of just changed my mind on my first new bike in many years, a clue I have a red one from the first year of manufacture (1987) Thanks for another superb video 🙂
Another really interesting video your knowledge on so many bikes is amazing . The GS looks great but at 22 grand for a fully specked up version it's a little rich for my tastes. Did you see the new blacked out GoldStar, blacked out bikes are not really my scene but at £5999 + otr its price now undercuts the Interceptor.
Enjoyed that! You mentioned that Harley Davidson weren't there and Piaggio are also a notable absentee this year, so there were no Moto Guzzi or Aprilia stands either. Wonder why?
Again, a very fine and detailed video! The GS with green and yellow is very attractive - and I like it being more smooth/lighter looking than earlier models (did I get the BMW virus already?)! Thanks!
Good video and u always enjoy your reviews so keep it up! I would argue that the average salary is less relavent now than 50 years ago given income inequality has massively increased and a greater proportion of income is now required for housing, food and fuel etc. I take your point but for normal working people modern motorcycles are unaffordable and frankly without PCP (basically rental) sales would be 80-90% less than they are now and there would be no sustainable motorcycle market in the uk. Its also worth noting that bikes are much more expensive here than in the USA, Japan and continental Europe. Frankly i think we are being fleeced in the UK and its only 'creative marketing' (read PCP) that is getting most bikes out if dealerships.
I agree that other costs of living have significantly eroded most peoples real ability to buy vehicles ( not just bikes) .. most new vehicles are now PCP . I was really just questioning if the perception that bikes are so expensive now , is actually right . Personally I think accommodation and taxes , direct and indirect are the biggest cost increases . .. anyway , I enjoyed the show 👍
Another very all encompassing video Michael, thank you. Apparently HD decided that the fall off of attendance wasn't worth their visit, not sure if that was a good decision? Moto Guzzi was supposed to be there but didn't turn up which was a big disappointment to my mate who travelled from Carlisle to see the Stelvio, a shame MV weren't there. I was a little disappointed with Henry's kettle, I noticed no 'Watercooled' on the cylinder walls, it was still tidy as one would expect from such a genius as Allen Millyard. A question for a Z1 aficionado, I know you're a bit 'vertically challenged' your words, but don't you find that the Z900RS's are so much smaller than the original Z1's?
Yes it was . But It was Japan only from memory , not badged ? I have made a video on the GSXR 750 and put a photo of the 400 in it . Thanks for reminding me 🤦😂
Surprisingly , as I was expecting it to be too tall , it felt ok. Need a proper ride , to feel where the extra weight is . Kings Two Wheel Centre have already said they will let me have a go on one as soon as their demonstrator arrives …👍
I know what you mean but would suggest it is quite a small part of what they do .. the high volume players .. millions not hundreds of thousands, sell the smaller commuter style bikes and scooters . 👍
Nothing at all . Just a brand I have never really followed . My well spent youth was on Japanese bikes and I never bought into the last resurrection . I wish the new owners of the business well . Looks like they are pushing forward 👍
Yes , Electric as well , but none that caught my eye enough to want to include them . We filmed for 2 and half hours so there was more excluded than included , in the final version .
It's funny how you emphasize the importance of the new GS. I don't think it will attract any new riders, it's just the next GS. Just maybe, the new Himalyan will stir the global market much more.
The GS has been the best selling adventure for years . It may not be your thing , which I completely respect , but it is important , if not to you .. 👍 Looking forward to riding the New Himalayan though ..
@@michaelmam I have a GS since 2007 and it's a great bike. I know it's a big deal but in comparison to the hype around the new Himmy it seems a bit trivial 😉
Good review of the show, some great bikes and wonderful you didnt get stuck on the BMW or RE stands🥱. Surprised you never got to see the new Black BSA Gold Star.
Great video...thank you!
Very Welcome 👍
Thanks Michael!
Well done great presentation style as always very engaging some beaut new bikes spoilt for choice
Some great bikes available today 👍
Great video again Michael, saved me going to the show this year 😊
Hi David , Can’t cover everything but glad you enjoyed it . Good show this year . 👍
I was at the show on Monday, nice to say hello to you as I’ve watched most of your videos 👍🏻
Thank you Stephen 👍
Thanks great vid
Glad you enjoyed it . Thank you for commenting 👍

I enjoyed your smile and obvious enjoyment. Looks like a couple new bikes in Michaels future and maybe a trip? Nice.
Yes , it was fun . Always good to hear from you Leigh 👍
Thanks!
Welcome!
Great vid as always....
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Thanks Michael, good video. I went yesterday and enjoyed it.
Great to hear! I thought it was better than last year ..
I have to admit I skimmed it. So many moto show videos. Thumbs up, though. Nick
Thank you Nick . 👍 There are a lot of reviews out there . Never sure whether we should make one or not . We will see how popular it is ..

Very nice, well-rounded tour. I hear Canada is on some folks touring bucket list.... 😉
It certainly should be . Amazing country 👍

I agree . It was an interesting show . Guzzi and Aprilia have been absent for a while now but HD is a sad , recent absentee..
Great video once again Michael. Well done. I must admit, I avoided the RE stand like the plague. 😁
Each to their own 😂 You can’t buy MZ’s now can you ? 😂😂😂

Hi Dave , the screaming Honda .. that should be a great new race series in BSB 👍
Absolutely 😂.
Michael always unique on his unique way to talk bikes
Interesting video as always, thank you. Keen to see your full DL800 RE review to see if you agree with me about the screen.
👍 Out on the 7th .. let’s compare notes😂

Yes . Shame they weren’t there . Not sure of their reasons . It was a good show ..
Guzzi haven’t been the for a while now if I recall correctly.
@@denisg4288 I think you are right . Certainly haven’t been there for the last two years ..

show videos are a bit rushed as we don’t have the time to really finesse them as we like , but glad you enjoyed it ..

I have had two Z1000’s ( 1977) and they are definitely longer and heavier than the Z900 RS but about the same in seat height / leg to ground . 👍
Yes you can, 2nd hand. 😂
Is that a euphemism for “worn out” ? 😂 Hope to catch up soon Taff ..
The 1st GSXR model was a 400 not a 750
