No one arena in Mortal Kombat history has had more influence on me than the Dead Pool. I was 6 1/2 in Nov '93 when it premiered in arcades, and I watched my older brother & others play it. I was curious & inquisitive back then, asking "what happens when the loser goes into the green water", and after an explanation and other questions later, BAM. In my child mind was created a physical embodiment of this arena in a character that's still with me to this very day, albeit developed so much.
There are certain things in life that change a person, and this arena is one such thing. If you watched the Environment Bio video describing the Dead Pool, you'd realize how despair-inducing this arena is. Losing here would mean a one-way trip into the corrosive fluids that make up the Dead Pool itself.
What pains me is that it took several games before the MK team decided to bring this stage back in, and only NOW they decide to remix the music after so long. Good remix nonetheless. It enhances the feeling of doom you get from it.
+Kyorinmaru I been playing MK since 1992 and this is the best one they done out of all of them. I take it you looking through rose tinted glasses as even though I'm a fan of the original trilogy OST, it also aged badly.
@ RetroGamerBrony I believe he is referring to the soundtracks not the actual games. Yeah even the remixes are bad. MKX has a pretty shitty OST as well. Don't get me wrong, they're both EXCELLENT games, but they lack in the soundtrack department.
pat deondre Some of the remixes are good to be fair. Like courtyard for example. But others just aren't as epic. And chill out its just my opinion you have yours.
Re-visiting the Dead Pool was one of the greatest things in gaming history! You know where you'll end if you disagree.
Don't intend to disagree with you at all.
**elbows a Kombatant into the Pool's acidic depths...**
@@SaviourV ahwaaaaa
I disagree. Throw me in the pool!

"She is the emperor's property, human!"
"She's nobody's property."
I think extra arms makes no sense
bad ass electric guitar and percussion.
the guy who was dipped in acid disliked the vid
Much better track than the one they have for it in MK11.
If you press start when you select a stage, you can listen to the original arcade music of that stage

Not that many games though. Before this it last appeared in Deception.
@@bighead8060 I know right, it was in deception.
At first I didn't know this was a remake from the original version until you actually listen to it. I love it!
God i get goosebumps from this song omg.
Sheeva: she is the emperors probis hiomen!
Jax: shes no by problems
Anyone else remember that sound that the game made when someone was knocked in?
Awahh!
Hee yah, **falls in deadpool** Awwah
I always thought it was Johnny Cage doing that.

TOASTY!!!!!!!!
The dead pool is gruesome
Screaming all the way, too.
Jax vs Sheeva
it’s not the same unless the announcer is announcing, and someone is screaming after getting a punch to the balls
Maximum effort!
best stage of all stages xD since MK2
The name itself is reference enough.
this sound wierd but the beginning remind me of re4's assignment ada (ithink it was tat or serate ways) just like the 1st 10secs
Guess extra arms dont make a difference
Too metal.

Deadpool from Marvel should be in MK9.
Jax Vs Sheeva sheeva dislikes this arena
deadpool is one word. not two.
WWE Vs. Mortal Kombat Scorpion umm
Honestly MK9 ost feels a lot worse than any other MK game, excludin MKvsDC which i didn't play.
