      @liamogorman3312 Месяц назад +3

      I completely disagree, away goals made the games way more entertaining. Home teams had to defend while trying to get a win so they have an advantage going away but away teams were also encouraged to attack more so they can get at least one goal to bring home. Now away teams tend to sit deeper and they don't care about losing 1-0 away from home because they know at home they have an advantage.

    • @TerribleEnglish
      @TerribleEnglish Месяц назад +1

      @@liamogorman3312 Away teams didn't attack more, that's the point. They just kept it tight and hoped to get a goal, while home teams played cautiously, knowing 0-0 at home was fine. It's not natural when home teams are afraid to attack.

    Haaland has straight up stopped making runs because the likes of Silva, Grealish, Foden, Rodri, and Kovacic refuse to play him the ball. Silva and Grealish provide absolutely no threat going down the line, do not provide any type of service, and constantly cut back inside onto their dominant feet to keep the ball circulating. Centrally, Foden, Rodri, and Kovacic pass circles around opponents but they never look to advance the ball forward centrally to Haaland. Without De Bruyne actually willing to lose possession in pursuit of generating goals by making higher risk passes, Haaland is on an island by himself in Pep’s system because the other City players are so risk adverse in their passing. I would not be surprised to see Haaland leave City after next season because he looks increasingly disinterested playing with teammates who refuse to pass him the ball.

    Manchester City vs Real Madrid 3-3 with some stunning football excellent goals combined with the tactical setup and how Pep and Ancelotti tried to win the battle from an overall tactical perspective, this is what high profile games should be all about especially 2 of the best teams in Europe up against each other very deep in the champions league. This is what you expect in these big games as I understand how managers are afraid to take risks so that they don’t lose as with what we’ve seen in modern football, games are basically like chess matches, many of us wanna see goals entertainment and individual brilliance and today both Manchester City and Real Madrid offered that and this is why we love football.
    I personally felt like Real Madrid were the better team but Manchester City managed to score 3 goals excellent ones as well and managed to secure a draw at the Bernabeu which isn’t quite a bad result to be honest. Both teams should be happy with the result especially since it’s better than a loss to be honest and you both have a great chance at going though in the 2nd leg since it’s tied 3-3. Between Manchester City and Real Madrid it’s all to play for at the Etihad as even with the goals today it was always a 50-50 contest and we expect that in the reverse leg next week.

    In the past few games and not just today , Bellingham looks like a kid lost in the park . I don’t know , if it’s a change in tactics by Carlo from his first 6 months but something is off , perhaps it time to make some changes in the 10 position. Give Brahim, Arda or even return Modric there and put Jude back in his 8 spot because it’s clearly not working anymore .

    These pundits can't help but suck off Madrid constantly, city played 3 games while Madrid were resting and preparing, playing at home with a packed stadium. City players are exhausted and without 3 or 4 starters and still scored 3 incredible goals against madrid, meanwhile madrid were ridiculously fortunate with their two goals. All things considered this draw was a win for city, they showed incredible personality and maturity to stay in the match madrid scored two of luckiest goals theyve scored all season. Both teams were fantastic but keep it fair, city were phenomenal but you wouldnt know it listening to these has beens.

    Big opportunity missed for sure.. counter attacks were ineffective contrary to what Carlo said. A lot of missed chances and bad decision to came out with plan to defend 2-1 lead right from start of second half against a clinical team like Man City.. What’s more annoying is Madrid were defending the lead and just giving away possession easily for Man City to keep trying until they got those two goals.. This feel like a defeat for Madrid and they might have to pay in the return leg
