Love your playthroughs, i can learn so much from you. And you can take multiple aspects on a Dragon. Had a Nature/Order Dragon focused on healing in the ritualist tree. He had summons, 2 resurections, one by breath and one by normal skill tree, and boosted morale every turn by 5-15 based on what i was using him for. Great fun.
I'm glad to hear, always happy to help people get better! The order/nature combo is so very strong, feels like you have an unlimited pool of healing and resurrects!
will say Slithers are fun to play with, given how they are they are both dragons and animals (wyverns are the same I think but not 100%) meaning anything that buffs animals can turn them into menaces against society. And since slithers are skirmishers, they can benefit from any melee & range transformation. In a primal - crocidile toadmen playthrough I was doing, which was nature chaos focussed. I got them to be able to merc stuff easily, due to obviouslly basically gaurentee crits. blighted strikes for melee & range, and any animal buff. They could just drop people, but materium & nature is also incredibly good. In terms of the dragon lord tho I personally believe comet breath is better, mostly because its funny. has longer range and is a reliable aoe to use without hurting friendlies as easily. same with cascading evocation vs devastating evocation. But thats mostly because if the a.i bunches their units up, one cast will hit all connected enemies. will it do as much damage? no unfortunately, but with the right buffs and taken the magic damage increases in the middle-ish of your tree? (given spellblade is a hybrid of 2 classes. super fun to play as btw.) it can do solid damage, mostly reliable to get everything burning :> sad they nerfed lightning evocation tho, I loved it so much previously. but now it just feels limp. cant wait for more vods tho!
Big fan of the skirmishers lately, being able to get those flank shots really adds up, plus the slither poison is solid with all the other debuffs. I wanted to go cone breath on the dragon because we had the 1 hex aoe with the fire evocation already, it will also make some more sense once we pick our upgraded breath weapon later on.
What time are your lifestreams. Bought the game because of you and fell in love with fully upgraded tier 4 magelocks (saw 150 damage once, oneshotting a hero).
When they introduced the new class I _think_ that the 1st and 3rd affinity skills were locked to your starting claw affinity. But also you could only take certain claws with certain affinities (ie if you wanted ritualist you HAD to be a nature dragon)
@@agentnumberonevods You can use them as both tanks and fighters. The only 100% bad increased upkeep units are mercs (reaver's spearmans) - totally trash for their price.

Honor blade are much much better. T1 spearmans are pretty useless.
Honor blades come with the increased gold upkeep and my economy is already in shambles, they're only temporary until we get better dragon units
