The definition of a grinder. Simple efficient swing. I respect anyone who can swing this well for this long. It's really impressive. I always kind of rooted for others cuz he was foreign but to be honest I'm rooting for him at the masters tomorrow. If it was windy again on Sunday I'd probably pick him. Just not sure he'll be able to get on the birdie train it might require tomorrow
I like the video. I'm curious for any input from people who are skilled at swing analysis. What is it that has kept him compeating at such a high level for so long?
He allows his body to respond to the swinging motion of the club. As a result, there's no excess motion. He stays centered on the backswing and swings forward in one continuous motion in the direction of the target in perfect balance. A swing for a lifetime.
I think it´s hard work and plenty of talent. Yes, he keeps his body action simple. But the hand action isn´t that easy to perform. He has a distinct roll over motion in his release. Perfect timing is required to square up the clubface at the right time. That´s the way he was taught back then.

Can watch Langer hit shots all day! Thanks.
Nice video! Like the split screen shots. Could really see his stock driver vs. his long drive(par 5) setup differences.
Fine video !! I like the slomos from both angles. Thanks...
He's the greatest!
Champions tour 🐐
Hale Irwin was pretty good! Has more wins than Longer.

He's not a so called "body" swinger. Old school Hip slide to start the downswing.
Not are my much hip slide to be honest. Just well balanced. The pelvis needs to move fwd. slightly in all great swings
