johnnybars, don't get me wrong I LOVED La Sombra but I just don't remember them like this. Maybe I was a little too young back then but I l learned how to dance with these songs. I was a huge fan but the memory I have of La Sombra is the Tejano music Sombra not the MC Hammer or any other type of music sombra. I miss guys like Mazz, Fama, Jay Perez, Ram Herrera, Selena, Roberto Pulido, Emilio and many more...... You're right though, I didn't know the origin of La Sombra...Sorry...

la sombra got famous on the johny canales show,in the 80's along with the mafia,other bands did not make it that big, like,lalo y los descalsos, fandango u.s.a., jaime y los chamakos ,estrella,pegasso,oh,brindis did make it big, but there not tx mex.
