  • The Fort Worth crew go cycling at Caprock Canyon State Park.
We set up camp at Caprock Canyon State Park and cycle through some of the trails including Caprock Canyon Trailway (a Rails to Trail conversion) spanning 65 miles from Estelline through Turkey and Quitaque.

I'm from Quitaque. I'd love to know where those roads were you were riding.

Thanks that was helpful. Going there for a 2-3 day cycling/photography trip in a couple of months. Everything else I saw on the park was about hiking or taking the trailway to the bat tunnel. Answered some of my questions. I I think I need to bring my lowest geared bike and put some knobbier tires on it. Not camping though. Was all your riding in the park or was some of that (like the scenes with the cows) in the nearby area? Can you recommend what trails in the park to take for 1 day in the park itself? I am also from Ft. Worth, though I don't think I know any of you folks.

Tubeless tires would be beneficial. We spent the first few hours riding the the state park itself. It seemed more narrow and more for mountain biking. The majority of our cycling was done on routes between Quitaque and Turkey. Parts of it was on the Trailway as well.

Nice vid...curiosity...is everyone riding tubeless? Did you have to get any type of permits?

Tubeless recommended. We all had tubeless. Permits not necessary with public roads out here.
