Hugelkultur raised beds! VID#16

This is an older video from 2019. In the video you will find that we are prepping two Hugelkultur raised beds. Hugelkultur is supposed to be a natural way to fertilize plants with minimal resources. It also helps to maintain moisture during the dry season. The beds we are prepping today are about 3-4 years old. In the bottom of the beds, there are larger logs and on top of that there are smaller ones. The logs have been cut for over a year and are now breaking down; making them ideal for Hugelkultur. After putting the logs, we filled the beds with leaves, shredded paper and wood chips to fill the space. We then add organic raised bed dirt. As the organic matter breaks down, it feeds the plants.
